Recently, Yunnan Province's "100 experts go to the countryside with science and technology" lecture activity kicked off in Yuanyang County. Experts from a number of science and technology associations in the province went deep into Nansha Town, Niujiaozhai Town, and Shangxin Township in Yuanyang County, and brought a variety of special lectures on scientific and technological knowledge to the local people, teachers and students.
The science popularization team first went to Nansha Town and Village to conduct field research to learn more about the development of the Dai pottery industry and the fruit and vegetable planting industries of the cash crop training base in the hot area of the Red River Valley.
Subsequently, the 2024 Yunnan Provincial Science Caravan Joint Action (Honghe Station) with the theme of "Improving Scientific Quality and Helping Rural Revitalization" was launched in Niujiaozhai Middle School and Shangxin Urban and Rural Central Primary School. Science and technology workers from Nujiang Prefecture, Zhenxiong County, and Yuanyang County Association for Science and Technology brought more than 10 exhibits of popular science caravans and more than 30 scientific and technological products such as VR, drones, electronic dogs, high-powered telescopes, intelligent robots, intelligent chess, and scientific experiment sets, and donated more than 1,000 popular science books and books for teenagers. Then, in the small lecture hall of Yuanyang Hall, Professor Shi Sha, Secretary General of the National Ecology Professional Committee of Minzu University of China and the Ecological Society of China, gave a special lecture on popular science with the title of "Promoting the Construction of Ecological Civilization with the Concept of Green Development".
Wu Tingting, member of the Standing Committee of the county party committee and director of the United Front Work Department of the county party committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and the heads of relevant departments at the county level listened to the lecture.
