On June 30, 2018, the ban on foreign garbage was officially implemented.
At first, Western countries were outraged, claiming that China refused to assume international responsibility. And China is not used to them, saying that garbage disposal is something that should be done globally.
Originally, Western countries had relatively advanced waste disposal systems, but in the past few decades, they have become accustomed to throwing waste to China for disposal, and domestic waste disposal systems have long been abandoned because they are not used for many years.
In recent years, Western countries have tried to rebuild the garbage disposal system, but because the garbage recycling is not used all the year round, so that the current European and American countries basically do not know how the garbage sorting system works, and the current European and American garbage recycling process and level have just reached the level of the 30s and 40s of the 20th century, which is a drop in the bucket for the speed of garbage generation in modern cities. At present, many landfills have overflowed their carrying capacity and cannot take on more waste.
Therefore, Western countries have found another way, since they can't solve the garbage, then solve the people who make the garbage, and the United States has begun to revise the law to impose strict penalties on private garbage.
At the same time, they hope to find a country similar to China to export waste. However, there is really no second country that can process garbage as quickly as China, find usable items from garbage, and improve the domestic economy. Until now, no country has been willing to take over the huge black pot of Western garbage.
And this incident also exposed a very ridiculous thing, don't look at the West shouting about environmental protection every year, but the only country in the world that really has environmental awareness is China.
