Wuling Motors officially announced that its first new energy dual-power SUV will be named Starlight S, which will be launched in August. The wheelbase of the car is 2800mm like the Starlight, which is longer than the BYD Song PLUS, and the plug-in hybrid version is 5mm higher than the pure electric version, and is equipped with Wuling Lingxi power and Shenlian battery. The dealer said that the price of Starlight S is expected to be similar to that of Starlight, and the starting price of Starlight is 88,800 yuan.

Wuling Starlight S is equipped with a closed grille + blackened trapezoidal air intake, the pure electric version is mesh inside, and the plug-in hybrid version uses a through-type shape, matching split daytime running lights + integrated headlight group. The wheel arches feature a blacked-out design with traditional door handles and roof racks, as well as optional color-blocked bodywork. The taillights also have a split design, with the license plate holder located above the rear bumper.

It is expected that Starlight S adopts the same interior design as Starlight, equipped with 8.8-inch full LCD instrument + 15.6-inch floating intelligent central control screen, using knob-type shift mechanism and double-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and the car machine supports Ling OS intelligent network connection system, which can realize voice interaction, scenario mode, vehicle OTA upgrade, remote control and other functions.

The Starlight S pure electric version is equipped with a single motor drive, with a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum speed of 175km/h. The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a maximum output of 78 kW, mated to a 9.5 kWh and 20.5 kWh battery packs, respectively, with an all-electric range of 43 km and 90 km, a combined fuel consumption of 4.98 L/100 km and 5.09 L/100 km, respectively, and a top speed of 170 km/h.
