Recently, Yang Xi, director of the Tongzhou District Bureau of Commerce, was a guest on the program "Sub-center Meeting Room", Yang Xi introduced that the sub-center currently has 11 large-scale commercial facilities with a commercial area of 649,800 square meters.
This year, the three major cultural facilities of the sub-center will be opened soon, with a commercial area of 145,000 square meters. Not only that, there are currently 14 projects under construction of 979,700 square meters.
It is understood that the Vientiane Hui project is located in the northwest corner of Canal East Street and Tongji Road, is a large-scale commercial complex with canal elements, the project has seven floors above ground and two floors underground, with a total construction area of 148,000 square meters. According to the plan, it is expected to open in the first half of this year (2024).

As a large-scale commercial complex in the sub-center of the city, the first Vientiane City can radiate and serve about 375,000 people in the surrounding area within 5 kilometers, and is a key livelihood project to help the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and high-quality planning and construction of the sub-center. After completion, it will settle in nearly 300 stores, bringing together supermarkets, restaurants, cinemas, parent-child entertainment and other formats to create an iconic and high-quality social, carnival and trendy play destination.
As a TOD urban complex, the underground of the project connects Metro Line 6 with the planned M102 line through a sunken plaza, as well as the bus hub on the east side, organizing the creation of a connecting line different from the underground to guide the flow of indoor and outdoor passengers and further drive the connection between the plots.
The cultural, tourism and commercial complex "Wanli" will open next year
It will also meet the leisure life needs of residents in the three northern counties, and the largest outlet project in Beijing, Wangfujing Outlet, located in the sub-center, will open next year.
Wanli Town, a large-scale cultural, tourism and commercial complex, is adjacent to the east side of the Universal Resort. Including the three major formats of "Wanli Wangfujing Outlet, Wanli Tingyun Town, and Wanli Nuolan Hotel", it is expected to open in May 2025 and is expected to welcome 40,000 consumers per day.
The main structure of the Wangfujing Outlet commercial complex project has been capped in April this year. As the largest outlet commercial complex in Beijing, the project has six floors above ground and two floors underground, with an above-ground construction area of 166,000 square meters. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year and open in 2025.

As an innovative outlet, the Wanli Art Center will be introduced here, providing curatorial, art installation, and commercial artistic discussion space, and integrating lifestyle formats such as surfing and skiing experience, pioneer bookstore, and comprehensive sports center. The mall will introduce about 400 brands, with international heavy luxury, light luxury and international sports brands as the main formats, and introduce some domestic brand flagship stores, which will become a high-end outlet with the most abundant business formats in Beijing after completion.
It is reported that at present, the management team and investment promotion team of Wangfujing Group have been stationed, and international boutique, high-end catering and trendy sports brands have entered the market one after another, and the preparations for opening are progressing in an orderly manner.
In terms of transportation, after completion, it will realize the three-track transfer of rail transit line 1, line 7 and line S6 (under planning), which is very convenient. According to Zhou Luwei, assistant general manager of Huanhui Real Estate Company, after the opening of the S6 line, it will connect the capital airport, Daxing airport and the sub-central hub, and tourists in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region will be able to quickly and directly reach this resort town through rail transit in the future. At that time, it will become a new "landmark" of cultural tourism in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, especially in the nearby three northern counties, and it will also become the core of leisure and recreation for surrounding residents.
In addition, there are Sam's Clubs that plan to open in Songzhuang, Tongzhou, in 2027, as well as Joy City, etc., the construction of a series of key business districts in the sub-center of the city, and the signing of a large number of key projects, which will radiate to the three northern counties in an all-round way in the future.
