The Tesla Cybertruck had already amassed about 2 million orders before it went public. At present, it seems that if these orders are to be fully delivered, it is simply a long way off. According to US media reports, the Cybertruck only delivered 1,791 units in three months in the first quarter, and began to accelerate in the fourth month, but only more than 1,000 units were delivered.

Now in June, deliveries of the Cybertruck have been suspended again due to wiper motor safety issues, causing some owners to delay deliveries. The news was made by a forum member of a Cybertruck Owners Club, which was confirmed by other forum members, who received a message from Tesla that deliveries had been delayed by at least a week.

According to members of the forum, the main reason for the delay was a safety issue with the windshield wiper motor, which Tesla discovered ahead of some deliveries this weekend. The specific details of the motor issue were not revealed in the post, but some Cybertruck owners have already started sharing the problems they are having with the wiper motor, with some revealing that it will take weeks to replace the part.

"I set off from Florida on Tuesday and after walking 20 miles, it started raining heavily. I had to wait 3.5 hours and call for Tesla roadside assistance because I couldn't see. They took the wipers away and said it would take a few weeks to replace the wiper motors. When the rain stopped, I had to open the window and look out until I could find a safe place if the wipers weren't working," Cnod shared, a forum user, in a forum post.

Not all Cybertrucks delivered to owners have problems, though. Some owners have shared that their Tesla pickups have been driving for miles without any issues with the windshield wipers.

This isn't the first issue reported by the media about the Cybertruck pickup. A few months ago, there was an issue with the car wash mode of the model, and users reported that the standard car wash was not available. Earlier this year, some Cybertruck pickups were delivered to owners without aerodynamic wheel covers. A few days later, Tesla recalled 2.2 million electric vehicles, including the Cybertruck, though the issue could be addressed with an OTA update.

Then again, the wiper motor issue can't be solved by an OTA update, just like the gas pedal issue, and Tesla had to issue a voluntary recall.

Written at the end: the delivery of the Tesla Cybertruck has been a real twist and turn. However, it is believed that as more and more problems are exposed and solved, its delivery speed should be faster and faster. Otherwise, these 2 million orders will only drag on and get bigger.
