Friends, N C2 Lite and C3 Lite are one of the most popular phones, meaning one of the most sold phones in India. Perhaps despite the shortcomings of this phone, it may also be very popular. Why? Because it has some advantages and disadvantages, I will tell you one by one.
Let's open this black box with blue and white text. First of all, there will obviously be documentation and other things. And phone cases. Yes, there is a SIM card tool. Are there any stickers? Yes, it's Nord stickers. Then there are the documents, and the cards from the Red Cable Club. There is also a TPU phone case, which is a good case. There are two camera modules, which are small. Well, it's the phone. Well, not bad, we'll talk about it too. It comes with an 80-watt charging head, yes, an 80-watt charging head. I have some interesting things to say about this charging head, and I'll talk about it later.
The phone is available in a silver version, and I'll show you the silver one. This is the previous OnePlus N C3 Lite, which has now been revamped. I'll show you another color, silver. Look, this is the latest C4 Lite. Both phones are fingerprint magnets, but I think this minimalist design is good. I think it's much better looking than the N C3 Lite. The phone has flat edges, small camera modules. Speaking of connectors and buttons, there is a speaker grille, Type-C jack and microphone underneath, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is very good. Well, let's take a look at the weight. About 184 to 186 grams. Oh, it's 189 grams. I thought it was lighter, but it was actually 189 grams, so it was okay. Because it has a 5500 mAh battery, the battery is large, but there is a problem that we will talk about it. As for protection, I don't know if there is, but we'll still drop the test. 1, 2, boom. We usually take two phones from brands to test, so it doesn't matter if they break. But this time it didn't break, it was just a mock test. It's loud, like a battle scar, and shows a lot of the drop tests we've done. There are no problems on the outside, now let's look at the inside.
Speaking of displays, like I said, it has a bigger display that has been upgraded to an AMOLED display, whereas before it was an IPS LCD. It has a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. Brightness has also been increased, with a peak brightness of 2100 nits and a High Brightness mode (HBM) with 1200 nits. So in normal use, the brightness is very high. I have to say that the price of the phone is around between Rs 18000 to Rs 20000, which is less than Rs 20000. As far as the display is concerned, there is absolutely no problem. The bezel is also narrow, the chin is average-sized, and the upper bezel is also narrow. Overall, very good.
Let's talk about the specs. This is the only series that uses the same processor in the last three generations. The phone is also powered by a three-year-old Snapdragon 695 processor, which has a lot of shortcomings. When it was first launched in 2021, it was decent among phones under Rs 20,000. But in 2024, I feel like it's no longer appropriate. Because when it comes to connectivity and cameras, the processor plays an important role, and it really lags behind in this regard. Come to think of it, it's been three years and it's still the same processor, which doesn't feel like a good fit. However, the X model launched in China also uses the 695 processor, and we know that it may be rebranded and introduced. But I thought it would be with a slightly upgraded 6s J3 processor, but they didn't. The display is upgraded, but I think the processor is downgraded.
When it comes to the Antutu score, it is about 480,000 points. It uses LPDDR4x memory and UFS2.1 storage. The base version is 8+128GB, and there is also an 8+256GB version. The processor has a big impact on the camera, connectivity, and more. In terms of connectivity, we tested 5G and Wi-Fi speeds, both of which are processor issues. Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi, if you compare it with other phones under Rs 20,000, the speed is not too good. However, there is a plus, it comes with a 5500 mAh battery that supports 80 watts of fast charging, but OnePlus officially says it takes 52 minutes to fully charge. I would say this is one of the slowest charging speeds among OnePlus phones. There is no problem with daily use, and the battery can last for a day.
But there is one thing, there are a lot of pre-installed software in the phone. You can uninstall some system apps, but the pre-installed apps and system apps take up about 25GB of storage. The basic version is 128GB, but only about 100GB is actually available. Now, such storage space is not enough.
When it comes to multimedia, this is another aspect that is limited by the Snapdragon 695. Yes, the AMOLED screen is good, but it can't watch 4K videos, and there is no HDR support, which are all limitations of the processor. So while the display is good, the multimedia experience could be better. The speaker effect is good, so the experience of watching HD videos and listening to music is still good.
Speaking of sensors, all the necessary sensors are there. Now instead of a side fingerprint, it's an under-display fingerprint sensor, and there's also a face unlock function, which works well. As for the update, it is not officially stated, but I guess there will be 2 years of major version updates and 3 years of security patches. OnePlus will always provide good update support.
Speaking of cameras, compared to the C3 Lite, the main camera has been reduced from 108MP to 50MP, and there is also a 2MP secondary camera. The 50MP LYT 600 sensor is still good, but the camera quality is average. Photos are okay in low-light conditions, and I'm not saying bad, but there are better devices at this price point. Remember, the price range below Rs 20,000 is very competitive, and other brands have very good specs and cameras in the price range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.

Otherwise, it supports an IP54 rating and doesn't have an FM radio, although it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, but no FM radio, I don't know why it doesn't. It supports Widevine L1, so you can stream HD videos, but it doesn't support HDR.
When it comes to the SIM card slot, it is a hybrid card slot. My opinion is that the processor has a big impact on the overall performance of the phone, the camera, etc. But those looking for a OnePlus phone under Rs 20,000 will probably look at the display, camera, and OnePlus brand and buy the phone. But again, if we talk about the C4 Lite, there are better options, and other brands have better phones at this price point.
