The general secretary said: "National unity is very important, and our 56 nationalities should hug each other tightly like pomegranate seeds. When the 56 ethnic groups are united, they are the community of the Chinese nation, and the Chinese nation is one big family. ”

Pomegranate, thousands of rooms with the same membrane, thousands of sons as one. The relationship between "pomegranate" and "pomegranate seed" is a metaphor for the "pluralistic unity of the Chinese nation".
The mainland has been a unified multi-ethnic state since ancient times. The ethnic groups are closely united, culturally eclectic, economically interdependent, and emotionally close to each other. This is not only an important asset for us, but also an important advantage for the development of our country.
In 2017, in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized "forging the sense of community of the Chinese nation and strengthening the exchanges, exchanges and integration of all ethnic groups".

The Great Wall Garden Community, Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City, has a total of 19 residential communities. It is inhabited by Hui, Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan and other ethnic minority residents, accounting for 38% of the total number of residents.
During the Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and other traditional festivals of the Chinese nation, residents of all ethnic groups in the community gather together for a celebration. The community often carries out a variety of activities such as love and mutual assistance, reading and sharing, and family parent-child activities, bringing the residents of all ethnic groups in the community together like a family.
Zhao Shoucheng told the general secretary that residents of all ethnic groups live in harmony in the community and live a very comfortable life. The general secretary said: Our party is a party that serves the people wholeheartedly, and the masses of all nationalities and every household are my concern. The general secretary asked the grassroots party organizations in the community to do a thorough and meticulous job in serving the people.
There are 11 party branches under the Party Committee of the Great Wall Garden Community, with 550 party members under direct management. In recent years, the community has created 13 volunteer service teams of various types such as medical and health care and legal aid, explored the service model of "residents' orders, community orders, and party members' orders", constantly summarized experience and innovated ideas, and provided deep and detailed services for residents of all ethnic groups.
During the inspection of the Great Wall Garden community, the general secretary also watched the dance "Chinese Hand in Hand" being rehearsed by the fan dance team of the community art troupe. Four of the eight members of the dance team are ethnic minorities. The dance "Chinese Hand in Hand" is not only an expression of the happy life of the residents of all ethnic groups in the community, but also a vivid portrayal of the Chinese nation.
