Notice of No Sailing

Due to the heavy rain for several days, the water flow of the Xiangtan section of the Xiangtan River has increased, and the water level has risen to above the warning (38 meters), according to the work requirements of the Xiangtan City Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, in order to ensure the safety of water traffic in the flood season in the jurisdiction, it has been decided to implement a ban on navigation in the navigable waters of the Xiangtan District, and the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1. Prohibited waters
The navigable waters of the whole line of Xiangtan jurisdiction
2. Prohibition time
From 8 a.m. on June 26, 2024, the ban will be lifted below the warning water level (38 meters) without further notice.
3. Precautions
1. Ships in prohibited waters must choose a safe place to moor or anchor according to the requirements of the code before 8 a.m. on June 26, 2024, and strengthen duty to prevent ships from anchoring;
2. During the period of the ban on navigation, ships and rafts other than emergency rescue and disaster relief vessels and on-site warning vessels are prohibited from sailing in the prohibited waters;
3. There are law enforcement boats to patrol the forbidden waters, and all ships and rafts must obey the on-site command, contact channel: VHF06 channel.
