In midsummer and June, the harvest is busy. In the past few days, all towns and towns in Qingshui County have been seizing the agricultural season and fine weather to step up the harvesting of wheat and play a summer "harvest song" on the vast land of Qingshui.
In the wheat breeding base of Horseshoe Village, Guochuan Town, Qingshui County, the combine harvester shuttles back and forth between the wheat fields, and after a while, the golden wheat grains pour down from the cabin door, and the field is a gratifying harvest scene.
"The total area of wheat planting in our village is more than 500 acres, and the overall growth is particularly good, and the purchase price is 1.7-1.8 yuan, and the benefits are very good." Liu Nianhu, secretary of the party branch of Horseshoe Village, Guochuan Town, Qingshui County, said.
Walking into the Male-Lenin Bay Wheat Breeding Base in Jinji Town, Qingshui County, 20 combine harvesters are working at full power to step up the harvesting of 5,240 acres of wheat. Through the yield measurement, it is expected to reach about 430 kg per mu.
In the drying workshop of Tianshui Dehefeng Agricultural Comprehensive Development Co., Ltd., there is an endless stream of vehicles transporting wheat, in order to speed up the drying progress, the workshop is equipped with double-shift operators, and the machinery runs 24 hours a day, and goes all out to ensure that the wheat grains are returned to the warehouse.
It is understood that since the summer harvest production in Qingshui County was carried out in mid-June, a total of 340,000 production laborers, more than 600 various mechanical vehicles, 134 combine harvesters, more than 158,300 mu of machine harvest area, and more than 220,000 mu of total summer harvest area, reaching more than seventy percent.
The results of summer grain yield measurement show that the wheat yield in the county reached 238 kilograms, an increase of 7 kilograms or 3.24% over last year's yield of 231 kilograms, and the total output is expected to reach 61,700 tons, an increase of 3.27%. The output of winter oil reached 169 kilograms, an increase of 5 kilograms or 3.13% over last year's yield of 164 kilograms, and the total output reached 10,500 tons, an increase of 3.16%.
As the county's summer harvest is coming to an end, summer management and summer planting are carried out at the same time. All townships and towns have seized the opportunity and adopted effective measures to carry out the work of replanting wheat after wheat while doing a good job of milling and drying the harvested wheat and putting it into the warehouse, so as to achieve the goal of supplementing the autumn with summer and replenishing grain with the economy. According to the annual crop planting structure, the county plans to replant 30,000 mu of buckwheat, 2,000 mu of millet, 50,000 mu of vegetables, and 3,000 mu of other crops (green manure) after the summer harvest, totaling 85,000 mu.
In the next step, Qingshui County will thoroughly implement the strategy of "storing grain in the ground and storing grain in technology", resolutely shoulder the responsibility of grain production safety, take multiple measures to promote summer harvest, summer management, and summer sowing, and make every effort to ensure agricultural efficiency and farmers' income, so as to lay a solid foundation for the county's grain harvest.
