The vast and mysterious universe continues to stimulate the curiosity and exploration spirit of teenagers. On June 26th, the series of activities of Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Assistance Rural Revitalization entered the Xincheng Experimental School of Wuhe County, Bengbu City, and invited Cai Yifu, a professor of the Department of Astronomy of the University of Science and Technology of China, to bring a wonderful popular science report on the theme of "The Era of Deep Space Exploration in Space Trek".
What has happened to our universe? Where did she come from? Where are you going? What is the picture of the universe we live in today? Professor Cai Yifu combined pictures and video materials to show the students the cosmic images observed by the Hubble telescope, and introduced the eight planets, the history of the thermal big bang of the universe and the history of world aerospace. He stressed that the successful launch of China's first artificial satellite, Dongfanghong-1, in 1970 made China the fifth country in the world to launch a satellite, and opened the prelude to China's exploration of the mysteries of the universe, the peaceful use of space, and the benefit of mankind.
"Tianwen" is the name of China's planetary exploration mission, derived from Qu Yuan's "Tianwen", which represents the Chinese nation's tenacity and perseverance in the pursuit of truth, and the cultural inheritance of nature and cosmic exploration. Professor Cai Yifu took the observation data of "Tianwen" and the Science and Education Observatory of USTC as examples to introduce China's exploration of the origin of the universe and the research results obtained to the students in simple terms. Under the guidance of Professor Cai, the students wandered their minds and realized the vastness of the universe and the ocean of knowledge.
