Recently, the second phase of the rare edible mushroom project of the state-owned enterprise joint village project in Baitang Village, Luohan Temple Street, Huangpi District has been put into operation, with a daily output of more than 700 catties of edible fungi such as red matsutake mushroom and black chicken fir mushroom, further enriching the supply of citizens' tables and continuing to drive rural revitalization.
The reporter saw in the second phase of the edible mushroom project in Baitang Village that a modern factory building was very eye-catching, and the villagers were busy in the mushroom room, and the mushroom room was full of vitality after planting.
Edible mushrooms are one of the important projects for the industrial development of Baitang Village. In 2021, the equity investment company affiliated to Wuhan Agricultural Group and 5 villages in Baitang District, Luohan Temple Street formed a cooperative association, introduced a professional private enterprise in Hunan for chicken fir planting, and jointly funded the establishment of Wuhan Nongzhixing Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly build a demonstration garden project for the factory planting of rare edible fungi. The project was officially put into operation in May 2022, and 120,000 catties of hairy mushrooms and 70,000 catties of net mushrooms were realized that year, driving more than 100 surrounding villagers to work nearby, becoming a benchmark for "state-owned enterprises and villages" in our district.
After the second phase of the project is put into operation, it can achieve an annual output value of 16 million yuan, drive the villagers and village collectives to generate more than 200 yuan of income, and inject new vitality into the development of the rural revitalization industry.
"After the second phase of rare edible mushrooms was put into production, the daily output reached more than 1,000 catties during the peak period. In the next step, we will also launch some other mushroom varieties, which will not only enrich the people's table, but also launch the high-end mushroom brand of Huangpi, so that the edible mushroom industry will be fully brilliant and promote rural revitalization.
