Some time ago, the brushed lithium drill at home was broken, and later I bought a brushless lithium drill in a local physical store, but it was equipped with a battery, which was not enough. Thinking about DIY a battery, I searched wildly on the Internet and found a better nest in Taobao.
In addition to lithium batteries, everything else is available, as long as you buy lithium batteries and come back for spot welding, you can use them.
5 MOS high power, fast charging, and cell balancing function, so that the battery is more durable.
It is already a perfect nesting, and after reading the buyer's evaluation, it is not bad, so I bought one and came back to DIY.
The lithium battery cell bought on Taobao is Lishen's 21700 10C discharge with a capacity of 4000 mAh, more than 8 pieces.
2. Start DIY.
Arrived after 2 days, take it apart, the nesting is relatively complete, the workmanship of the shell is relatively thick, and even the stickers are more domineering.
5 MOS tubes, look cool, the main pins are reinforced with glue.
The workmanship of the motherboard is good, it feels like it has been updated in several versions, and there is a temperature detection probe on the back.
Take out the capacitor welding machine that has been dusty for a long time three and a half years ago when I bought a lithium battery for an electric bicycle, and let the capacitor be fully charged first.
The leftmost part of the figure is the first string (a total of 10 cells in two parallel 5 strings), which is spot welded from the first string of negative electrodes, and the strings are welded sequentially, and the spot welding is completed soon. Pay attention to check whether the weld is firmly welded. If it is used in a high-power angle grinder, it is recommended to put a copper sheet in the middle of the galvanized nickel sheet, so that the discharge is better.
After spot welding, check that there are no errors, and attach the positive and negative electrodes on both sides to the insulating stickers with adhesive backing in the nesting.
Attach the motherboard to the top left, and the B-negative of the first string is in the upper left corner, and be careful not to put it in reverse. Start with B- (B-, B1, B2, B3, B4, B+) and connect the battery connector to the motherboard.
Connect the cable of the battery capacity display LED board to the motherboard. The black line is the negative electrode and the red line is the positive electrode.
Press the LED switch to see if it is soldered.
The two ends of the battery are covered with the buffer sponge in the nest.
Tighten the 4 fixing screws of the motherboard and attach the spring of the bayonet.
Assemble the panel and bottom plate of the housing with 4 connecting screws. Shake it vigorously to see if the battery is loose, and if it is loose, you have to add some high-temperature resistant sponge to reinforce.
The volume is much larger than that of the 18650 cell.
10 21700 lithium batteries are 8000 mAh, which is quite large in size, much more than the original 1500 mAh battery.
Install the battery on the lithium drill, and everything is normal when it is turned on, and the capacity is more than 5 times that of the original 5 18650 battery cells. I don't know if it's a psychological effect, but I feel that the electric drill is more energetic
Free shipping of more than 20 yuan of nesting plus more than 80 batteries. The whole material cost is more than 100 yuan, and the cost performance is still good. It's definitely a lot cheaper than the original battery. If the battery is not too heavy, you can also buy a 15-cell nest, which is more domineering. If you are a local tyrant, you can also buy Sony's C6 battery cells to make batteries, but the battery cells are more expensive.
Lishen's 21700 10C discharge 4000 mAh battery, I took a look at the outer skin, I feel that it is later encapsulated in the skin, not as smooth as the original package, it is estimated that it is the level of B product, there is no internal resistance detector in hand, and I will buy a detector back after a while, so that the group is more assured. Whether it is durable or not will be tested by time, and it is worth it to be fully charged and put two or three hundred times. After taking a look at Xianyu, there are 5 pieces of 5 sections, and a group of 8 batteries sells second-hand lithium batteries, which are more cost-effective. There is a mix of good and bad goods in Xianyu, so you have to carefully pick the seller to buy, and only buy it if you have a high evaluation.
3. Afterword
It is cost-effective to assemble lithium battery packs by DIY, and you can also make them according to your own needs.
In Pinduoduo, I also found an eight-inch small fan with this kind of battery as a base, brushless speed regulation, and I feel that there is another use, ready to buy one to play, and it will be more refreshing to go out camping and picnic. However, it is finished with Makita joints, and you have to buy a conversion seat for Dayi A3 to Makita.
It is recommended that you still have a certain hands-on ability, know a little electrician knowledge, and play spot welding machines to DIY lithium batteries. If you haven't changed your home electrical socket before, don't do it.
