A senior monk and a young apprentice were on their way to do good when they came across a babbling stream.
Approaching the stream, the old monk suddenly stopped and gently waved his hand to signal the apprentice to remain silent—it turned out that he had spotted two small sparrows playing and bathing in the stream.
Time seemed to freeze until the two little sparrows flapped their wings and flew away contentedly, leaving behind a crisp birdsong.
The young apprentice couldn't help but complain: "Is it not worth it that we have wasted so much time for the sake of these two little birds?" ”
The old monk elaborated profoundly:
Everything in the world, no matter how big or small, has its own joy in life.
As practitioners, we should realize the truth that suffering is a blessing, and cherish the living beings in the world.
When the little sparrows bathe, their hearts must be filled with holy pleasure.
They play in pairs, whispering, washing away the dust of the long journey, how touching and happy these pictures are!
Isn't it the blessing that we can witness this that comes from suffering?
After hearing this, the little monk suddenly realized that suffering a loss is not a complete loss, it often breeds the seeds of happiness.
In life, we should remember that suffering losses are blessings, and learn to be humble and tolerant.
If wisdom is foolish, suffering losses is often a harbinger of blessings, and it is similar to "rare and confused".
In the complexity of life, occasional confusion may lead us to the best side.
Being overly calculating and being clever can sometimes get us into trouble.
Therefore, choosing to be confused at the right time is a profound wisdom in dealing with the world.

At the end of the Three Kingdoms, Wei Guoxiao conquered Shu Han with Deng Ai, and the later lord Liu Chan became a prisoner, and only arrived in Luoyang, the capital of Wei, with only Hao Zheng and Liu Tong.
In Luoyang, Liu Chan was canonized as the Duke of Anle by the powerful minister Sima Zhao in the name of Emperor Wei Yuan.
One day, Sima Zhao set up a banquet to entertain Liu Chan and the old ministers of Shu Han, and specially arranged singers to perform Shu songs and dances during the banquet.
Witnessing this scene, the old ministers of Shu Han touched the scene and burst into tears, but Liu Chan was the only one who was calm and gladly appreciated.
After the banquet, Sima Zhao sighed to the people around him: "Liu Chan is still indifferent to such a situation, even if Zhuge Liang is alive, it is difficult to reverse the decline of Shu Han, let alone Jiang Weihu?" ”
A few days later, Sima Zhao said to Liu Chan: "Do you still have the thought of Shu in your heart?" ”
Liu Chan responded lightly: "This place is very good, and Shu is a thing of the past for me." ”
He was on the side, and when he heard this, he couldn't help frowning, feeling that his answer was not what he asked.
He then privately admonished Liu Chan: "Next time Sima Zhao asks again, you should speak with tears, saying that the ancestral tomb is in Shu, and it is difficult to give up in your heart, and you miss it day and night." In this way, it may be able to touch Sima Zhao and allow us to return home. ”
Liu Chan bowed his head and agreed to his words.
Sure enough, Sima Zhao inquired again, and Liu Chan repeated it in accordance with what He Zheng taught.
He tried his best to disguise his sadness, but the tears could not be squeezed out, so he had to close his eyes to hide them.
Sima Zhao observed his voice and observed his color, all of which were no different from Hao Zheng, so he said with a smile: "This is like the words of Hao Zheng." ”
Liu Chan responded innocently: "It is what He Zheng taught. ”
When Sima Zhao heard this, laughter erupted, and the attendants on the left and right couldn't help laughing, and they no longer had doubts about Liu Chan.
Later generations thought that Liu Chan was mediocre, even "ruthless and unrighteous", forgetting his homeland, so he was unwary.
However, in 271 AD, Liu Chan died at the age of sixty-six, and lived a long life at that time.
In fact, Liu Chan, the queen of the Shu Han Dynasty, is a person who is good at protecting himself with confusion.
If Sima Zhao noticed his thoughts about Shudi, he was afraid that his life would not be guaranteed.
Therefore, Liu Chan used confusion as a shield, so that Sima Zhao was undoubted and could spend the rest of his life in peace.
Sima Zhao thought he had teased Liu Chan, but he was actually played by Liu Chan.
An ordinary and resilient soul, in the chaotic times, always sticks to his inner world and protects himself with confusion.
He is not really confused, but in this world full of strife and change, he has chosen a unique way to find a moment of peace.
His confusion is not ignorance, but a kind of wisdom, a wisdom to survive in complex circumstances.
He understands that too much thinking and thinking will only lead to endless troubles and pains, and confusion can keep him calm in this troubled world, away from those unnecessary distractions.
