The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a track-focused supercar that is almost impeccable in terms of appearance. Porsche Netherlands celebrates its 75th anniversary with a one-of-a-kind 911 GT3 RS that makes this extreme version of the 911 look like a vase.
The 911 GT3 RS was sent to Porsche's Exclusive Manufaktur department, which is known for its sophisticated personalisation options. The final result is the "Delfts Blauw" livery with a white base and blue flowers. This motif adorns the entire car, including the huge rear wing sides and the ducktail spoiler.
The paint also features a blue stripe that extends from the front to the rear bumper, the side of the body bears the word Porsche, and the number "75" is attached to the doors to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Porsche Netherlands.
The livery called "Delfts Blauw" is the same as the traditional blue floral design on Delft pottery made in Delft, the city of the same name in the Netherlands. This iconic livery also makes the 911 GT3 RS one of the most distinctive Porsche 911s.
One could argue that this floral-themed livery is too fancy for a car, let alone a Porsche. But Porsche's motorsport heritage and the performance of this special edition 911 prove that it is like a bridge between art cars and racing cars.
It is unclear if this "Delfts Blauw" GT3 RS has been sold to a customer (most likely Dutch) or if it will still be on display at a local dealership.
The Porsche 911 has undergone a facelift this year, but the GT3 RS has not changed. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre boxer-six engine that makes 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear axle via a dual-clutch transmission, while the aggressive aerodynamics combined with an equally aggressive chassis setup ensure peak performance on the track.
