According to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on June 28, from January to May, the production of the mainland's electronic information manufacturing industry grew steadily, exports recovered steadily, the efficiency improved month by month, the growth rate of investment accelerated, and the overall growth trend of the industry was obvious.
First, production has grown steadily
From January to May, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 13.8% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 7.6 and 5.1 percentage points higher than that of the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries in the same period, respectively. In May, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 14.5% year-on-year.

From January to May, among the main products, the output of mobile phones was 620 million units, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%, of which the output of smartphones was 460 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12%; the output of microcomputer equipment was 128 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%; The output of integrated circuits was 170.3 billion, a year-on-year increase of 32.7%.
Second, exports have recovered steadily
From January to May, the cumulative export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 0.7% year-on-year, an increase of 0.5 percentage points from January to April, and 2.3 percentage points lower than that of the industry in the same period. In May, the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 1.7% year-on-year.

According to customs statistics, from January to May, the mainland exported 55.56 million laptops, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%; exported 300 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%; The export of integrated circuits was 113.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.
Third, the efficiency is improving month by month
From January to May, the operating income of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size was 5.95 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from January to April, and the operating cost was 5.22 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%; the total profit was 194.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 56.8%; The operating income margin was 3.3%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from January to April. In May, the operating income of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size was 1.28 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%.

Fourth, the growth rate of investment has accelerated
From January to May, the investment in fixed assets of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 14.8% year-on-year, an increase of 1.7 percentage points from January to April, and 2.2 and 4.4 percentage points higher than the growth rate of investment in industry and high-tech manufacturing industry in the same period.

5. Regional revenue
From January to May, the eastern region of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved an operating income of 4,160.5 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6 percent year-on-year, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from January to April; the central region achieved an operating income of 947.3 billion yuan, an increase of 8.4 percent year-on-year, an increase of 1.3 percentage points from January to April; the western region achieved an operating income of 811.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3 percent, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from January to April; and the northeast region achieved an operating income of 34.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 21.7 percent , an increase of 7.6 percentage points from January to April. The operating income of the electronic information manufacturing industry in the four regions accounted for 69.9%, 15.9%, 13.6% and 0.6% of the national proportion respectively. In May, the eastern region achieved operating income of 897 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%, and the central region achieved operating income of 203.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%; the operating income in the western region was 176.1 billion yuan, down 1.9% year-on-year; The operating income in Northeast China was 8.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.8%.

From January to May, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size achieved operating income of 322 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%, down 0.5 percentage points from January to April, and the revenue accounted for 5.4% of the country; The Yangtze River Delta region achieved operating income of 1,671.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from January to April, and the revenue accounted for 28.1% of the country.
