On June 27, the Banan high-speed railway, which connects Bazhong and Nanchong in the hinterland of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area, was put into operation, and the Bazhong, Yilong and other old revolutionary areas welcomed the high-speed rail for the first time.
The Banan high-speed railway has a total length of 149 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
This is a red tourist line. The starting point, Badong East Station, is shaped like a mountain with red leaves, and the undulating outline line is reminiscent of the edges and corners of the Red Army's octagonal hat. Yang Tianyu, the project leader of the Fifth Survey and Design Institute of China Railway, said that this is a symbol of the Sichuan-Shaanxi revolutionary base in the second largest Soviet area in the country during the agrarian revolution.
Zhou Xuan, director of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Museum, said that on the 12,300 square kilometers of land in Bazhong, there are 908 sites and relics of the Red Revolution.

This is an ecological line. The Jialing River Bridge adopts mixed beams of high and low towers to reduce mountain excavation; The Enyang River Bridge adopts the segmental assembly process to reduce the number of piers; The ratio of bridges and tunnels on the main line is about 70%, reducing the disturbance of cultivated land.

This is a line for the revitalization of old districts. The fastest time is 2 hours and 16 minutes from Bazhong to Chengdu, and the fastest time is 2 hours and 46 minutes from Bazhong to Chongqing, promoting the integration of the hinterland of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area into the core of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
The Banan high-speed railway is jointly financed and constructed by Sichuan Shudao Railway Investment Group and the people's governments of Nanchong City and Bazhong City in Sichuan Province.
