In order to comprehensively strengthen the safety education of students to prevent drowning and establish a town-wide drowning prevention protection network for primary and secondary schools, on June 28, Niuchang Town held a drowning prevention work deployment meeting during the summer vacation of 2024.
The meeting demanded, first, to strengthen publicity and education. Through a variety of channels, such as community bulletin boards, schools, social media, etc., widely publicize drowning prevention knowledge and safety warnings, and raise the public's awareness of prevention. The second is to conduct a comprehensive investigation of dangerous waters. Identify areas at high risk of drowning, and set up clear warning signs and protective equipment. The third is to establish an effective inspection mechanism. Organize a special inspection team to conduct uninterrupted inspections of dangerous waters during key periods, and discover and stop dangerous behaviors in a timely manner. Fourth, strengthen departmental coordination. Schools, communities, public security, and other relevant departments should closely cooperate to form a joint work force. Fifth, make preparations for emergency rescue. Ensure that in the event of a drowning accident, rescue can be quickly organized to minimize casualties.
