In 1985, Zhang Lingfu's grandson had a full moon, and his wife Wang Yuling and his family took a rare photo

On a warm afternoon in 1985, Zhang Lingfu's family sat around and left a precious group photo. From the lens, we can clearly see that Zhang Lingfu's son Zhang Daoyu and daughter-in-law Fang Xiaomei are standing in the back row, Zhang Daoyu is hugging his wife tightly, and their eyes are full of happiness and satisfaction.

The person sitting on the far left of the front row is Wang Yuling, the widow of Zhang Lingfu. She held her grandson Zhang Yunze, who had just completed the moon, in her arms, and gently stroked his little face, with endless love in her eyes. Although Wang Yuling was 57 years old this year, the years did not seem to have left too many traces on her, and she still maintained that elegant temperament and calm demeanor.

In addition to Wang Yuling and his grandson, there were two old people sitting in the front row. Unfortunately, due to their history and lack of information, we do not know their identities. But from their kind faces and kind smiles, we can feel their love and warmth for this family.

Wang Yuling and Zhang Daoyu's mother and son, as Zhang Lingfu's family members, also experienced an untold story after Zhang Lingfu's death. It turned out that Wang Yuling was only 19 years old when he was widowed. In 1949, Wang Yuling and his mother brought Zhang Daoyu, who was only more than two years old, to live in Taipei. However, because Zhang Lingfu's "pension" was not cashed, Wang Yuling's mother and son have been living in poverty. In order to make ends meet, Wang Yuling could only sell some of her dowry to support the family.

In 1952, Zhang Daoyu was five years old. Faced with a difficult situation, Wang Yuling made a brave decision: leaving her son in the care of her mother, she went to the United States alone, looking for opportunities to earn a living to support her family. In this way, Zhang Daoyu became a "left-behind child", and in the days without his mother, he and his grandmother depended on each other. In that era of high prices, his grandmother loved him and boiled him an egg every day to eat. As for other snacks and meat foods, it is a luxury for Zhang Daoyu.

What he didn't know, however, was that it wasn't easy for his mother in the United States either. Although Wang Yuling was born in a famous family, she has no foundation in foreign languages. In an unfamiliar environment, she had so much to learn. But she is a hard-working person, she studied accounting through work-study, and finally applied for a job in an airline. After everything settled in the United States, Wang Yuling took her son to live in the United States in 1959.

At that time, Wang Yuling was in her 30s, and there were many people who told her about matchmaking. However, in her mind, no man can compare with Zhang Lingfu. So she politely declined all suitors and chose to silently shoulder the burden of the family alone. As a single mother, it is not easy to pull her eldest son in a foreign country. Wang Yuling taught his son to be a patriotic person since he was a child. Later, when Zhang Daoyu reached the age of finding a partner, she told her son that she hoped that her future daughter-in-law would be Chinese. Maybe it was destined that Zhang Daoyu later fell in love with Fang Xiaomei, the daughter of General Fang Xianjue, and finally came together. Wang Yuling is very satisfied with this marriage and is very gratified.

After watching his son get married and start a business, Wang Yuling finally said his wish for many years - that is, Ye Luo returned to his roots and returned to the embrace of the motherland. Zhang Daoyu is also very understanding and supportive of this wish. So in the 90s, they moved their family from the United States to Shanghai, where they spent their old age. Wang Yuling spent her last years in Shanghai and died at the age of 94.
