Founded in April 2016, Xinhuang Weiai Volunteer Association has more than 600 members and more than 2,000 volunteers. The party branch of the association was established in January 2017 and has 10 party members. In recent years, the association has given full play to the leading role of party building of grassroots party organizations, vigorously promoted the volunteer spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and progress", united and led party members and all volunteers of the branch to help rural revitalization, carry out public welfare and charity, serve the poor people, and play the role of the party organization as a fighting fortress. It has successively won the honorary titles of County Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization, Social Poverty Alleviation and Love Organization, National Demonstration Unit for National Unity and Progress, Outstanding Volunteer Service Organization for Municipal Volunteer Service Activities to Fight the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic, Hunan Youth Home, Municipal Best Civilized Practice Volunteer Service Organization, and Municipal Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization.

At the beginning of the establishment of the association, there were many people involved in volunteer activities, but there were few people who could really persist and participate regularly, and the volunteer team was not stable. After that, under the guidance and help of the organization department, the association established a party branch, established and improved the daily work system of the branch, regularly carried out theme party day activities, paid close attention to the education and management of party members, and effectively enhanced the cohesion, centripetal force and combat effectiveness of the association. At the same time, we insist on the same deployment and arrangement of party building work and association activities, so that the party flag is floating, party members stand up, and the party emblem is lit up.
Strengthening self-building and serving the growth of talents is the basic responsibility of party building in social organizations. Since its establishment, the party branch of the association has attached great importance to the development of party members and strictly controlled the political standards, while paying attention to the development of party members from outstanding volunteers, and constantly enhancing the strength and vitality of the party organization. It has realized the leading demonstration effect of party members in key positions and important work undertaken by party members, and the volunteer service team has continued to grow.

In the face of the major historical mission of rural revitalization, the members of the branch have always been in the front, giving full play to the role of the party branch as a fighting fortress and the vanguard and exemplary role of party members. Under the leadership of the party branch, the association raised a total of more than 2,000 yuan worth of materials, dispatched 10,974 volunteers, traveled more than 150,000 kilometers, served about 100,000 hours, dispatched 987 love vehicles, and traveled 150,000 kilometers.
Innovate service ideas to help the industry alleviate poverty. The association and Xinhuang Fish Town have created a "Cattle Sponsorship Co-breeding Plan" for young people, and innovated to form a "Internet + Aquaculture Industry" joint co-breeding model, in which caring people and caring enterprises purchase small cattle and hand them over to poor farmers for joint breeding, helping 20 poor farmers to solve the problem of unfunded breeding.
In order to better provide help for special groups, the party branch organized volunteers to go to the grassroots level and visit regularly to effectively understand the practical difficulties of orphaned children, sick elderly people, and seriously ill patients, and provide help. It has successively subsidized 2,600 yuan per person per year for more than 70 orphaned children in 11 townships and towns in the county, distributed subsidies ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 yuan per semester for 30 students from poor families, and donated 1,100 "dream school bags" and 420 sets of "dream desks and chairs" to rural children. The "Colorful Holiday" class was rated as the best volunteer service project in Huaihua City in 2022. More than 1,000 yellow bracelets were distributed to Alzheimer's disease patients and other elderly people who are prone to getting lost. The association also cooperated with Huaihua Volunteer Association and Beijing Easy Chip Network Technology Co., Ltd. to provide service support for communities, rural areas, people who have been impoverished due to illness (disability), people who have returned to poverty due to disasters, and vulnerable groups, visited and verified patients with serious illnesses and assisted in initiating fundraising of nearly 40 yuan. Organize party members and volunteers to go deep into schools, nursing homes and other places to carry out safety education for students and send care and companionship to the elderly.
Actively participate in epidemic prevention and control
In the face of the new crown epidemic, the party branch organized party members and volunteers to stick to the forefront of the anti-epidemic work, and raised anti-epidemic materials and food such as disinfectant alcohol, masks, and protective clothing, worth nearly 500,000 yuan. During the resumption of work and production of enterprises and the resumption of schools and classes, it undertook the environmental sanitize work of the main roads of the county and the primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in the county and the surrounding areas, so that the bright red party flag and the red vest of love shined on the front line of epidemic prevention and control. In March 2021, the association was rated as an outstanding volunteer service organization in Huaihua City's volunteer service activities to fight the new crown pneumonia epidemic by the Municipal Civilization Office.
