On the occasion of the "July 1st" Party Day, on June 27th, the Yan'an Spiritual Research Association of Xiangyun County and the Xiangyun County Federation of Literary and Art Circles went to Midian Town to carry out the "July 1st Re-walking the Long March Road" collection and creation research activities.
The purpose of this event is to inherit and carry forward the spirit of the Long March, so that the Yan'an spirit of "seeking truth from facts, integrating theory with practice, serving the people wholeheartedly and working hard for self-reliance" will be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, enhance the understanding of Xiangyun literary and art workers on the history of the Long March transit, and stimulate the enthusiasm for literary and artistic creation.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. On April 20, 1936, under the leadership of Xiao Ke, Wang Zhen and other leaders, the Red Sixth Army crossed the head pass and pine forest from Kongxian Bridge to Chuchang and Huangcao Whistle, passing through 16 mountain villages in Midian.
Under the guidance of the staff of the Party History Research Office of the County Party Committee, everyone went to the Jialang Whistle to pay homage to the Red Army Martyrs' Tomb and lay flower baskets, visited the former residence of Luo Yingdi at Huangcao Whistle along the way, walked the Yanma Ancient Road and the stone road that the Red Army walked on in Baishapo, experienced the spirit of the Long March, remembered the legacy of the martyrs, and created calligraphy and painting on the spot.
More than 50 people, including cadres and employees of the County Yan'an Spiritual Research Association, the County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the County Veterans Affairs Bureau, as well as literary and historical scholars, writers, poets, photographers, calligraphers and painters, participated in the event.
