Recently, the 2024 Mobile Asia Awards were announced at Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2024 (MWC Shanghai), and the "Application of 5G Deterministic Networks in Intelligent Manufacturing" project created by China Telecom and Baosteel Group won the 2024 Asia 5G Industry Innovation Award.
Based on the innovative technology of 5G-A private network deterministic network, the project has developed a new control architecture, which helps Baosteel Group achieve multi-process collaborative dynamic process control for global optimization by using technologies such as super time-frequency folding, 5G LAN, and dual-transmission selective receiving, with a delay and reliability of [email protected]%, and applies it to the thick plate printing production line, effectively improving the quality of steel products, shortening the delivery cycle, and achieving the goal of reducing costs, increasing efficiency and improving quality.
Launched in 2006 to recognise individuals, organisations and partners who are making the world a better place through connectivity, the GSMA Asia Mobile Awards (AMO) is Asia's top digital industry award.
In the next step, China Telecom will continue to give full play to the advantages of 5G-A deterministic network capabilities, and rely on Baosteel's rich OT experience to carry out in-depth research and testing of technologies such as 5G and industrial protocol synergy, millimeter wave, and cellular passive Internet of Things, continue to build a benchmark for the industrial Internet, and actively promote new industrialization.
