According to league sources, Tyrese Maxey has agreed to a five-year, $205 million max contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, the latest deal since the Philadelphia 76ers reached an agreement with Paul George.
Maxey, 23, is a restricted free agent behind LeBron James in the latest NBA free agent rankings.
The shooting guard averaged a career-high 25.9 points, 6.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game during the 2023-24 regular season. He started all six playoff games with the 76ers, averaging 29.8 points, 6.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 40 percent from three-point range.
In 2020, the Philadelphia 76ers drafted Maxey from Kentucky with the 21st pick. In 266 regular-season games, he averaged 18.2 points per game.
In addition, the 76ers and George agreed to a four-year, $212 million max contract to bring in the nine-time All-Star, who will form a big three with Maxey and Joel Embiid.
