At first, I thought the DT03's sound style was a good match for the Cadenza 4.
The combination of the two products is the kind of very rational and high-speed sound. In full-time high-gain mode, the resolution of the sound base is good, and the control is good.
When using its own cable, the sound floor of the DT03 connected to the player and mobile phone is clean. It's much cleaner if you're connected to a dedicated digital turntable like the TempoTec V3-D, but that's already a matter for the V3-D or the source. For daily commuting, the cleanliness of the DT03 is sufficient.
After all, most of the time I use this combination, I also use it to pick up my phone.
The resolution is good, and the high frequency is prominent. The signature airiness of the Cadenza 4 adds a sense of lightness to the ensemble.
But if you want to extend it, the DT03 will be a little weak with the native combination. It's not that the soundstage is cramped or anything, the DT03 can also give a large and loose black space when listening to studio albums, but it can be a bit difficult to fully display the airiness of the Cadenza 4.
The sound is high-speed, and many details can be responded to quickly, without dragging the mud.
It's just that the edges of some female voices and high-frequency details will be a little sharp, and if you listen directly, there will be a little bit of stimulation, a bit of "larynx" and a sharp feeling. With the relatively rational and high-speed sound characteristics of the body, if you want to use the DT03, it is not recommended to use colder headphones to combine.
Add the Soundwave PA1 to the combination of native pairing and Cadenza 4, and the sound will be a little smoother overall. The sharpness of the high frequencies and the laryngeal sensation show signs of smoothing, for example, when used with a mobile phone, the energy of the whole combination will be enhanced, and the sound base will become thicker and fuller.
The cleanliness of the sound floor hasn't changed much, and it feels like the DT03 itself is clean enough, so it's understandable that it's not obvious here.
Since there is a response when connected to PA1, let's try to change the cable.
After trying to rotate the cables in hand, I can say that the DT03 is a very "supplemented" type. The sonic characteristics of the Emerald MK2 and TC09S are clearly expressed on the DT03. There is no need to compare with the original line rotation A B, you can feel the different perceptible changes when you change the line on the bus.
The most listened to in the test is connected to the Emerald MK2, which is blessed by Beat Audio's signature "energy", and the combination is much stronger in terms of overall thickness and energy.
The high-frequencies that have been completely smoothed out are not bad, the smooth feeling is not throaty, the drum beat is much fuller, the sound is thick and full, and the overall style of the 50% Emerald MK 2 retains the lightness of 10% Cadenza 4 and the basic quality of 40% DT03.
The self-style is not as exaggerated as the Emerald MK2 TC09S, and it will not be so dominant. But in the face of the very compensated DT03, plus the TC09S is like the impression I made when the TC09BC was connected to the back of the X1s GT:

It's just that there is no high-impedance headset at home, and the FT3 I tried before is a low-impedance version, and the drive is quite easy.
In the end, I could only find an aune AR5000 that was "really not so easy to push for Sony". (laughs.)
As before, the AR5000 does not have a 4.4mm balance cable, and can only be used with 3.5mm headphones. So before the audition, I had already turned on Gain H by default.
But in fact, the performance of the DT03 + AR5000 is not as cramped as I imagined.
In addition to the regular Gain H test, I tried adding PA1 to this base, tuning to Gain L and then connecting to Gain L and then PA1, and the DT03 performed quite well.
Sound is the basics, the sound needs to be controlled, the details that appear after connecting to the PA1, etc., DT03 can do its homework here.
Especially when connected to a computer or connected to the TC28C Pro, a small accessory for telecom separation, the output is enough to listen to some Vocal dominant clips, and use the AR5000 at this moment to listen to the breath and details of the singer's singing, and immerse yourself in this close and intimate relationship, I have to say that the AR5000 has this function, and the DT03 must be able to "eat".
If you want to be more delicate, adding PA1 is necessary, but daily listening is not too rigid.

Versatile, high compatibility means stable, if it is a little extreme, it can be said that it is a little less of its own personal characteristics. But I think that as a small tail that wants to eat all kinds of styles, the current performance of DT03 is a more suitable expression.
If you already have a certain LETSHUOER headphone in mind, as long as you are not looking for the "flagship of the signature" and the "flagship of the flagship" Cadenza 12, then the DT03 is indeed in the list of LETSHUOER, positioning in the 5-600 yuan of the most practical and suitable choice.
