The Youth Ice Hockey Training Camp held by the Chinese Ice Hockey Association aims to continue to promote and popularize ice hockey, further improve the training, teaching and competition level of youth ice hockey in the mainland, and cultivate, select and deliver outstanding talents of appropriate age for national teams at all levels. The 2023 youth training camp will be successfully held in Shenyang, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Qiqihar, Jiamusi and other places, and the first stop of the youth training camp in 2024 will be Qiqihar, and then it will continue to be carried out in Inner Mongolia, Harbin, Shenzhen, Beijing, Jiamusi and other places.

The three highlights of this year's youth training camp of the Chinese Ice Hockey Association are: First, for the first time, the outstanding female ice hockey athletes and coaches of the U12 age group in China were gathered for scientific training and follow-up training. Second, for the first time, the "2024 National Youth Ice Hockey Competition Male and Female Ice Hockey Competition Ice Skills and Physical Fitness Test Indicators and Standards" formulated by the Chinese Ice Hockey Association will be implemented and implemented. Thirdly, for the first time, the 3+4+3 training mode was adopted, with the first 3 days and the last 3 days for targeted teaching and training and ice hockey culture learning, during which 12 "3-on-3" ice hockey games under the new regulations of the International Ice Hockey Federation were added, and the physical fitness and standardized basic technical action training of outstanding young ice hockey players were strengthened through the form of "combining competition and training and promoting training through competition", so as to promote the improvement of the competitive ability and sports level of mainland ice hockey reserve talents.
