The event was jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and the Departments of Culture and Tourism of Qinghai Province, Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Sichuan Province, Shanxi Province, Henan Province, Shandong Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The goal of the activity is to excavate the intangible cultural heritage resources of the Yellow River Basin, cultivate and transform brand projects, promote the integrated development of intangible cultural heritage and tourism, and build a systematic protection pattern. During the event, more than 200 representative inheritors, 133 representative intangible cultural heritage projects, and more than 10,000 intangible cultural heritage boutiques from the nine provinces and regions of the Yellow River Basin were unveiled, creating an immersive experience of intangible cultural heritage for the masses and tourists.

The main committee of the competition selected 12 regional characteristic awards, 12 fashion innovation awards, and 12 transformation and promotion awards for the participating 108 representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage in six categories, including embroidery, paper-cutting, clay sculpture, weaving, carving (brick, stone, wood, etc.), ceramics, etc., focusing on the five dimensions of comprehensive impression, skill level, cultural characteristics, fashion innovation, and market transformation, showing the regional characteristics, cultural connotation and protection effectiveness of intangible cultural heritage in the Yellow River Basin provinces and regions.

In this competition, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism selected and sent a total of 12 intangible cultural heritage representative projects and 24 intangible cultural heritage products such as ceramics, carving, paper-cutting, embroidery, clay sculpture and weaving to participate.

Rong County, Sichuan Province is the pottery capital of western China, with a history of more than 2,000 years of pottery making. "Rongxian clay pottery" was approved by the State Trademark Office as a geographical indication certification trademark, and its production skills were identified as provincial intangible cultural heritage, and was selected into the first batch of Sichuan Province traditional craft revitalization catalog. In recent years, Rongxian clay pottery from the traditional clay pottery to the fine pottery, an ordinary Rongxian clay pottery through the hands of the intangible cultural heritage representative inheritors shine, carved with a knife, fine painting brush, greatly enhance the ornamental, artistic, added value of Rong County clay pottery. Ding Yudie, a young artist in Rong County, continues to explore and make breakthroughs in the painting creation of Rong County clay pottery, combining traditional painting skills with modern art styles to inject new vitality into Rong County clay pottery. In this competition, Ding Yudie brought 2 groups of Rongxian clay pottery works to participate. Among them, the "Stalagmite Mountain Residence Map" Yubi Tiliang Pot Landscape Set won the "Transformation Promotion Award" of the competition.
