With the theme of "The Chinese Nation is a Family, Pomegranate Flowers Are Happy to the Party", this event was guided by the Shaodong Municipal Leading Group for the Creation of a Provincial Demonstration City for Ethnic Unity and Progress, the Shaoyang Municipal Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, the United Front Work Department of the Shaodong Municipal Party Committee and the Propaganda Department of the Shaodong Municipal Party Committee, and undertaken by the Shaodong Municipal Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, the Shaodong Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports, the Shaodong Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the Shaodong Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
A wonderful mass art performance was held on the spot. More than 600 people of all ethnic groups demonstrated the unique charm and colorful culture of the Chinese nation through square dances, drum performances, music singing, guzheng playing, and ethnic chorus. The cheerful singing and beautiful dancing painted a beautiful picture of various nationalities hugging each other tightly like pomegranate seeds. The audience gave warm applause and cheers from time to time to praise this cultural feast.
It is understood that the cultural week activities will last from July 1 to July 5, successively held in Shaodong Colorful Global City, Shaodong Convention and Cultural Center and other places, mainly including local and ethnic characteristics of catering production exhibition and national unity food season activities, middle-aged and elderly sports and art performances, children's art education performances, literary and artistic galas, etc. Through this activity, Shaodong City mobilized the people of all ethnic groups in the city to actively participate in the creation of national unity and progress, and jointly build a "spiritual" home of cultural self-confidence.
