Neobolt
British startup Nyobolt is not on renders right now, but it does prototype an electric sports car, the main feature of which is record-breaking fast charging. Internal tests have also shown excellent battery life.
"Our research in the UK and US has resulted in a new battery technology that can now be used and scaled up. We allow the electrification of new products and services that are currently considered unfeasible or impossible. Creating a real-world demo prototype like the Nyobolt EV underscores our willingness and commitment to show the industry that change is possible," said Dr. Sai Shivareddy, Co-Founder of Nyobolt.
The compact electric sports car Nyobolt EV Prototype weighs 250 kg and has a range of 1,247 km on a single charge. Although this is a modest number by modern standards, the company has so far focused on charging speed, achieving a record number of 10% to 80% in 4 minutes and 37 seconds. During this period, electric vehicles replenished 193 kilometers of energy.
The batteries used in cars are units with a capacity of 50 Ah or 35 kWh. According to the company's internal tests, after more than 4,000 fast charges, which equates to an actual range of about 966,000 kilometers, the remaining capacity of the battery is at least 80%.
Interestingly, the new batteries from the Chinese Geely promise the same durability, although they don't charge as quickly.
