Covering an area of 400 acres (1 mu of about 666.7 square meters), the cicada breeding base in Xiaojiazhuang Town, Chiping District, cicada farmers can harvest a batch of golden cicadas in about three years through scientific intervention in light, temperature and humidity, ventilation conditions, forest varieties and densities, with an average annual income of about 10,000 yuan per mu.
