On June 27, Ambassador Ni Ruchi attended the 2024 United Nations Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day event co-organized by the Bahrain Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Brazil-China Friendship Association.
Ambassador Ni pointed out that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) not only create jobs, but are also an important engine for economic growth and social development. In recent years, China has taken multiple measures to support the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the number of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in China has exceeded 52 million by the end of 2022, becoming an important force in China's economic and social development.
Ambassador Ni stressed that this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, and the recent visit of King Hamad to China has resulted in the two heads of state agreeing to upgrade China-Pakistan relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and the two sides have also signed a number of cooperation documents in the fields of economy, trade, health, and education, opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. The Chinese government supports and encourages small and medium-sized enterprises of the two sides to strengthen cooperation, and hopes that the small and medium-sized enterprises of the two countries will take this event as an opportunity to achieve more results in future cooperation.
