On June 30, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, a major national project, was officially opened to traffic. After seven years of preliminary preparation and seven years of arduous construction, this world-class cross-sea cluster project was officially put into use, and the golden inner bay of the Pearl River Estuary has drawn a key "horizontal".

As one of the builders of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, the S07 bid section project undertaken by China Railway Bridge Bureau mainly includes the prefabrication and erection of 40-meter concrete box girders for the 1.6-kilometer onshore approach bridge on the Zhongshan coast, the prefabrication of 60-meter concrete box girders for the offshore non-navigable hole bridge, and the erection of all box girders (concrete box girders + steel box girders) for non-navigable bridges.

From the production of pieces of beams to the erection of pieces of beams, the builders of China Railway Bridge Bureau are like magicians who thread needles and leads, connecting the "beams" in series, so that they finally lie on the vast Lingding Ocean.

What kind of journey does a beam have to go through from conception to erection to the pier column?

In terms of beam making, it has gone through multiple processes from the steel bar production stage. The first is steel bar processing, cutting, followed by the installation of internal and external molds and roof steel bars, and then more than 10 hours of concrete pouring, after the pouring is completed, it will be cured for about a week, and finally prestressed tensioning, grouting, end secondary concrete pouring, etc.

In terms of erecting beams, it is also complicated. The non-navigable hole bridge is 11.4 kilometers long, and the erection of 293 box girders of this main line is all completed by the "Tianyi" transport beam ship.

"Tianyi No. 1" is a heavy device independently developed by China Railway Bridge Bureau, which can be completed by itself from the wharf to the beam, to the self-propelled to the erection of the girder pier, and then to the erection to the specified height. The girder erection ship that can achieve such a "one-stop service" is the only one in China.

In addition to the concrete beams produced by the China Railway Bridge Bureau, there are also steel box girders manufactured by three other companies, and in the process of work, not only face the restrictions of waterway control, but also overcome the influence of natural conditions such as tides and wind waves.

All 293 beams of the non-navigable bridge at sea had to be erected within 18 months, which meant that an average of 16 beams had to be erected in a month, and an average of one "out to sea" every two days. In fact, there is a lot of connection work between the "system" and the "frame" of the beam.

The concrete box girder produced by Zhongshan Beam Yard is huge, and the 60-meter concrete box girder is in the forefront of the world. There are a total of 155 such box girders, of which 141 are 20 m standard wide beams and 14 are 20 to 24 m variable width beams. The heaviest of the widening beams is 3,200 tons, which is equivalent to the weight of 2,000 cars, and the top area of the beam is equivalent to the size of four standard basketball courts.

The volume of the box girder is large, and the storage area of the girder is limited after all. Only when the beam-making, storage beam and erection beam are fully and smoothly connected can the efficient operation of the process be ensured. Under the tight construction period requirements of the Shenzhong Channel, this problem can only be solved by making the process smarter and smarter.

The intelligent scheduling system, which was launched in April 2022, is an innovation to improve work efficiency and reduce information asymmetry. The system was developed and launched by the team of Zhang Aimin Model Worker Innovation Studio, and Liu Peisi, director of the engineering department of the project department, is also a member of the Model Worker Innovation Studio. He introduced that when the beam to be erected should be produced and when the beam should be erected, the command can be smoothly connected through this system, so as to avoid the delay of time and huge waste caused by such a large machine as "Tianyi".

With wisdom, production and operation are "leaner"——

The intelligent scheduling system is only one of the research results of Zhang Aimin's model worker innovation studio, which is the "brain" of the efficient operation of the whole set of system, transportation and beam erection process of the Shenzhong Channel of China Railway Bridge Bureau.

Zhang Aimin is the project manager of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor of China Railway Bridge Bureau, responsible for the production, construction and management of the S07 bid section of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, and is also the leader of the Model Worker Innovation Studio. He recalled that the Model Lamor Innovation Studio was established in August 2018. Prior to this, the owner of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Passage gave the construction team of the China Railway Bridge Bureau an examination question, "The beam making yard should be built in line with the principle of world-class and leading the development of China's bridge industry, and it must fully reflect intelligent manufacturing." In order to answer this question well and solve the problems in the construction of the smart beam field, Zhang Aimin Model Worker Innovation Studio was established, and its predecessor was the "Party Member Pioneer Post BIM Research Group".

"The studio achieved what it was created for!" At the end of the project construction, Zhang Aimin took stock of a series of research results of the studio and believed that the team's "questions" and "answers" were good - based on the construction of smart beam yards, in terms of hardware, the studio developed and successfully applied automatic hydraulic integral formwork, automatic sprinkler maintenance devices and systems, intelligent vertical and horizontal moving trolleys and other tooling equipment; In terms of software, the studio has developed and used the "Smart Beam Field Collaborative Management Platform" that integrates steel bar processing system, concrete intelligent control system, and monitoring and monitoring system. The integration of the two realizes the intelligent management of the whole process of box girder prefabrication production, which plays an extremely key role in improving production efficiency and reducing labor input.

Later, the research of the studio has not only been limited to the beam field, but also oriented to the whole life cycle of the beam, such as production, transportation, and erection. With the successful completion of the prefabrication task of the beam yard, the function of the collaborative management platform has been extended to the beam erection plate in the sea area, which provides a solid guarantee for the intrinsic safety of the construction of cross-sea bridges through the collection and utilization of the data of large ships themselves, as well as the mechanical analysis and real-time monitoring of the stages of beam taking and erection.

At present, some of the research results of the Model Worker Innovation Studio have been "out of the circle" and applied to projects outside the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, such as the intelligent concrete mixing plant system applied to projects such as the South-Central Expressway and the Huangmaohai Cross-sea Corridor.

The team members of the studio are composed of project management personnel and high-skilled talents, and the scope of daily discussions is not only limited to technical research, but also includes economic analysis, production management, scientific research and innovation, achievement transformation and other aspects. Although there are only 10 core team members, the door of the studio is always open, and young on-site technicians and even front-line workers are often invited to participate in the meeting to discuss solutions to problems, so as to focus on all aspects of production and construction, and release a wider range of employees' innovation and efficiency.

has perseverance, and "survived" the most difficult moments -

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor integrates "bridges, islands, tunnels, and underwater interconnections", with a total length of 24 kilometers, of which the "visible" bridge project is about 17.2 kilometers long, and the offshore non-navigable hole bridge part undertaken by the China Railway Bridge Bureau is 11.4 kilometers long, accounting for nearly 70% of the bridge projects on the whole line. It can be said that the construction quality of the non-navigable hole bridge profoundly reflects the quality of the bridge construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel.

In the case of ensuring the excellent quality of the beam, it is necessary to take into account the construction period and complete the task within the time specified by the owner. By what? Relying on tenacious willpower and team combat effectiveness, the fine style of hard-working and arduous struggle can never be lost.

The heavy responsibility of pressurizing and cheering up the team fell on Lu Qing, the person in charge of the smart beam field. Lu Qing is also the secretary of the party branch of the second branch of the project department of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, giving full play to the role of party building and integrating party building into production, which is the starting point for him to rush the construction period in the beam field.

At the end of April 2022, he became the person in charge of Liangchang, and the party building work and production management work were shoulder-to-shoulder. One of the major problems he faced was that there were still more than 60 box girder production tasks left in the beam yard at this time.

The difficulty of this campaign was very high, and the node that was advanced to September 30 seemed to be an "impossible task" at the time, because the production of special-shaped box girders was always a "bottleneck" factor that prevented the progress from speeding up.

These special-shaped box girders are like "disobedient thorns", their beam widths show a gradual change from 20 meters to 24 meters, and some beams are still arc-shaped, ordinary automatic hydraulic molds can not adapt to them, and can only rely on manual labor. Before May, it took more than 20 days to produce a special-shaped box girder, and if the task was to be completed on time, it needed to be accelerated to about 13 days per piece.

The objective conditions are also "not cooperative". From May to September, "troubles" continued, and the builders successively encountered heavy rain, high temperatures, and typhoons and rains.

Lu Qing clearly remembers that in May of that year, it rained almost every day in Zhongshan, so he referred to the hourly weather forecast service to guide production, pouring concrete in a rainless space, and the work of steel bar binding and mold removal was only carried out in the rain. "When the workers were working, their clothes were soaked in the rain, and when they were resting, they went to the dormitory to change into dry clothes, and when they came back, they continued to dry, and soon they were drenched by the rain again. Workers change up to four or five sets of clothes a day. ”

In June and July, Guangdong encountered high temperature and scorching heat, the outdoor temperature was as high as more than 40 degrees, and the eggs could be fried on the steel plate of the box girder bottom mold. In order to improve the working environment, the project department made every effort to provide logistics services, purchased and configured air coolers, and prepared enough heatstroke prevention supplies such as radix radix, Huoxiang Zhengqi water, herbal tea, and mung bean soup.

In order to achieve the goal of "closing the construction period", Lu Qing and his team sought a breakthrough inward, and gave full play to the fighting fortress of the party organization and the vanguard and exemplary role of party members by creating a vanguard post for party members and dividing the red flag responsibility area. The project department continuously optimizes the construction process and process, and strengthens the overall guidance of the operation team. Party members and leading cadres took the lead in serving the site, technical personnel took root in the front line, and the two labor cooperation teams formed a game of chess, complementing each other and helping each other, and finally completed the prefabrication of concrete beams as scheduled under the condition of meeting the new quality requirements of the owner in 2022.

With determination, "you can't lose" in the same competition——

On the night of September 28, 2022, on the eve of the National Day holiday, the comprehensive office of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Passage Project Department of China Railway Bridge Bureau was still brightly lit, and the staff was still visiting the docking details to welcome the guests on the second day.

Liu Hailang, an employee of the comprehensive office of the project department, said that the Shenzhong Channel receives visits from all walks of life almost every day, and it is common to receive two or three waves of visitors a day, and at most six waves of guests a day.

Countless visitors couldn't wait to come to the project while it was still under construction, because they were full of anticipation for the project. This expectation is also a kind of pressure for builders.

The endless stream of social visitors and media reporters are like "supervisors", watching the construction process of this super project, and any problems or mistakes may be infinitely "magnified". The builders know that the construction of the Shenzhong Corridor "cannot be bad".

Nearly all of China's top infrastructure companies are gathered here, and they are all "competing on the same stage" to connect a large corridor across the ocean. The builders of China Railway Bridge Bureau know in their hearts that in this competition, the Bridge Bureau "cannot lose".

She Qiaoning often said that the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is a project worth counting as a "big account".
