Langma is a strong embodiment of Liv's dedication to women's cycling.
In 2017, Langma made her debut on the world stage and was thrilled to win multiple victories on her debut. Inspired by Mount Everest and designed to inspire riders to seek greater challenges to climb the peak, Langma is leading a movement that elevates the impact and position of female athletes on the starting line, on the podium, and throughout cycling by optimizing the power of women on the bike.

The new frameset features an integrated seatpost, which means less weight and more fluid compliance, while also improving aerodynamics for faster response with every pedal.

The expanded handlebar can make the handling more confident, especially in the burst of sprints and fierce downhill conditions, it can more accurately achieve the experience of integrating people and vehicles, and grasp the absolute initiative.

The truncated elliptical shape of the fitting is designed to reduce wind resistance, especially at high speeds in the group. The new internal cable routing design makes the handlebars, stems and body cleaner, and also reduces wind resistance and improves smoothness.
The Advanced SL frameset adds strength and minimizes weight from carbon technology, with an advanced SL-class composite fork with symmetrical design and aerodynamic styling, hydraulic disc brakes and added clearance for tires up to 33mm wide. This new design makes it lighter, stiffer, and more aerodynamic.
The one-piece tube process, this new construction technique uses only one airbag (unlike the three airbags of the previous generation) to create a one-piece front triangle. The aim is to reduce weight without compromising stiffness or aerodynamic forming. The strategically designed airfoil sections in the frame and fork developed through CFD and wind tunnel testing improve aerodynamic efficiency and reduce wind resistance over a wide range of yaw angles compared to traditional teardrop-shaped tubes.
The frame, handlebars, and stems have unique cable routing ports that provide a sleek, clutter-free look while maintaining ease of adjustment, and the lighter weight handlebars and stems feature aerodynamic styling, including a flat handlebar top with raised edges to help the rider maintain a stable aerodynamic position. Internal cable routing further improves aerodynamics while maintaining ease of setup and adjustment. THE OVERDRIVE AERO D-FORK STEERER TUBE AND CORRESPONDING SPACERS PROVIDE AN EXTREMELY AERODYNAMIC, EASY-TO-SERVICE INTERNAL WIRING SYSTEM.
Designed for road racers with the demands of fierce competition, the Variant's refined styling and all-in-one design reduce weight, improve aerodynamics, and increase road smoothness.
The oversized square down tube and top tube provide superior front-end lateral and torsional stiffness. The precision-engineered rectangular downtube provides unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.
The extra-large bottom bottom area features a fully integrated 86 mm wide design. The symmetrical chainstays provide extra stiffness on the drive side and stability on the non-drive side.
The CADEX Max 40 wheelset system features a proprietary dynamically balanced strand and carbon fiber spoke design that delivers superior efficiency, comfort, and control in the most user-friendly system available.

All in all, the new third-generation Langma Advanced SL frameset is 123.03 grams lighter than the previous generation, making it the lightest Langma yet.
While not shown in the chart, it's important to note that the Langma Advanced Pro and Langma Advanced framesets also saw weight reductions, with the Langma Advanced Pro frameset being 44 grams lighter and the Langma Advanced frameset being 75 grams lighter
Stiffness comparison
The stiffness test was evaluated using an M-size frame set, testing pedaling and torsional stiffness. This provides a more accurate measure of how the bike will perform on actual rides and helps ensure that the test procedure translates into performance gains that can be felt on the road.
Despite being significantly lighter, the all-new Langma Advanced SL has 2.50 percent more pedaling stiffness and 6.75 percent more torsional stiffness than the previous generation
Most of the gain in stiffness comes from the modified parts of the head tube, down tube, and bottom bracket area. The increased stiffness of the frame results in better power delivery, allowing the rider to reach and maintain higher speeds effortlessly.
Efficiency comparison
By increasing stiffness and reducing weight, the new Langma Advanced SL significantly improves overall efficiency (stiffness-to-weight ratio). These advancements translate into a more responsive, agile ride, allowing riders to experience faster acceleration, better handling, and sustained speed with less output. Whether you're climbing a hill or sprinting on a flat road, the enhanced stiffness-to-weight ratio ensures that every pedaling stroke effectively translates into forward momentum, providing a competitive edge and a superior riding experience.
Aerodynamic comparison
The previous generation of the Langma introduced a more aerodynamic frameset in key areas and a new truncated elliptical tube. This time, Liv goes one step further. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and extensive wind tunnel testing, Liv has developed a new airfoil section that is more effective at reducing drag over a wider angular range than traditional teardrop-shaped frames.
The Liv has made significant aerodynamic improvements to the downtube, seat tube, and fork. And that's not all—the redesigned Liv Contact expanded handlebars and the new CADEX Max 40 wheel system also add 12.57 watts to total gain over the previous 2021 Langma Advanced SL 0.
Liv's tests involved wind speeds of 24 mph (40 km/h) in a controlled environment with yaw angles between -20 and +20 degrees. With dynamic mannequins, rotating wheels and a moving drivetrain, Liv achieves the most accurate aerodynamic analysis. This helped Liv refine the new Langma frameset and fine-tune the entire system, including the OverDrive Aero steering tube and cockpit components.
