April 10 of this year
Security guard in a villa community in Pudong Huamu
Found in the lawn by the fence
Scattered with luxury bags from 5 different brands
The police from the Huamu Police Station of the Shanghai Pudong Public Security Bureau immediately rushed to the scene of the crime. After looking at the photos taken by the security guards, the police preliminarily judged that the villa area had been robbed. The police then called up the surveillance and found that in the early hours of the morning, a man had climbed over the wall to enter and exit the community, still carrying things in his hands.
After visiting and investigating, the police determined that the stolen house was a villa near the wall. The owner of the villa, Ms. Liu, lives in the United Kingdom all year round, so she had no idea that her home had been burglarized. Although the doors and windows of the villa were not pried, on the edge of the window, the technician found traces of turning in.
The housekeeper said: "Although this villa is uninhabited all year round, there is a cleaning aunt who will come to clean it every day. However, there was a thin layer of dust all over the room, which did not look like someone was cleaning regularly, and the cleaning aunt's mobile phone was not answered.
On the afternoon of the day of the incident
The police got in touch with Ms. Liu
12 luxury bags were confirmed to have been stolen
There are other valuable items as well
The total value is more than 1 million
Faced with the fact that it was stolen, Ms. Liu expressed disbelief. She didn't know why the cleaning aunt didn't go to clean, could it be that this theft was really related to the cleaning aunt?
In the green belt around the villa, the police found some more packaging bags of branded bags. Through surveillance, it was found that the thief had indeed turned into this green belt after committing the crime, but he was not seen coming out. Two hours later, a tricycle pulled up on the side of the road and a man and a woman got out of the car. One of the women came out of the green belt with several bags in her hands. At this time, the police also contacted the cleaning aunt. She said that she didn't receive a call because of something at home. She insisted she had nothing to do with the theft and said the windows were closed when she left. After an investigation, the police ruled her out of suspicion.
The police continued to check the surveillance and found the whereabouts of the man and the woman. They were greenery keepers who were in charge of the outer green belt of the stolen villa, and the police found five stolen bags in their dormitory.
They explained that the bags were accidentally picked up while at work. The police continued to check the surveillance, and finally found the thief who had disappeared before in another surveillance near the green belt. The police followed the line and followed all the way to the location of the thief. Only one day after the incident, the police arrested the suspect Jiang at his temporary residence.
Jiang confessed that he originally started a business in his hometown, but he lacked business experience, and soon lost his capital and owed some foreign debts. In order to get rid of the debt as soon as possible, he started the idea of theft.
On the day of the crime, he climbed over the wall to enter the community, and accidentally saw an open window, so he climbed in to commit the theft. This is consistent with what the technicians have done at the site. However, the weight of 12 bags and other items caused him to be limited in his movements. He first discarded a few bags as he climbed over the fence, and then hid them in the green belt.
However, when he returned to the green belt and tried to take the rest of the bags, he found that there were only a few empty bags left.
On May 24, the Pudong police returned all 12 bags involved in the case and the rest of the stolen goods.
At present, the suspect Jiang has been arrested by the Pudong Procuratorate on suspicion of theft in accordance with the law.
