大众 T-Cross R Line 1.5 TSI DSG 测试
Customer feedback provides us with a good basis. The modernization benefits the small T-Cross model.
We think Volkswagen's recent efforts to respond to customer opinions and criticisms are very sympathetic. It's refreshing when a major automotive company is able to admit a mistake. And that's not all! Constructive stimuli prompt developers to change their attitudes towards modern technology. Thanks to this, today we can enjoy the return of the classic buttons on the steering wheel, or the simplified way of controlling the air conditioning in the new infotainment environment.
When we look at the modernized Volkswagen T-Cross, we also find signs of self-reflection. In the past, the main object of criticism was the hardness of the interior and the materials that looked discounted. As a result, engineers are focused on improving perceived quality.
As a result, the main display has been moved higher, the air conditioning vents are now located below it, and the entire dashboard is made of softened plastic with stitching. The first impression is completely different from what it used to be.
The impression of saving costs in the wrong place is definitely gone.
The only practical caveat we can address is the use of black glossy plastic on the center console. The hard material will push the taller driver into the right leg and can easily get scratched in the long run.
Ergonomically perfect interior. The classic dashboard, the dashboard-aligned display, and the traditional climate control in the right place
We're glad that the T-Cross's interior retains a lot of variety. The rear bench can still be adjusted up to 14 cm, and thanks to the adjustable false bottom of the trunk, you can fold the back back flat.
If transporting long objects, the front passenger seat can also be folded up. Few competitors today offer a similar level of variability. And if that's not enough for you, thanks to the increased load capacity of the towing unit from 20 kg to 75 kg, the small crossover can now also handle heavier carts or e-bike racks.
In addition to the actual changes, the design is also taken into account. What's new is the connecting taillight with the original 3D light signature. The headlights also have a more impressive light signature, while the IQ. Light LED matrix technology has been transferred to the main headlights.
Under the front hood, you'll find specially updated 1.0 and 1.5 TSI petrol engines and manual or automatic DSG transmissions. The most powerful 110 kW (150 hp) configuration we've tested delivers amazing power to the lightweight T-Cross.
The low curb weight also has a positive effect on the driving characteristics, with fuel consumption of up to 6.5 l/100 km in mixed conditions. All this without any electrical doping.
The steering, braking, and chassis response are as natural as you'd expect from a modified Volkswagen.
