According to the official report, Guo Jianyu was responsible for cleaning up the illegal occupation of state-owned houses, and was murdered by 59-year-old illegal occupier An Yaohong with a knife, and unfortunately died in the line of duty.
As everyone knows, the main functions of the CPPCC are political consultation, democratic supervision, and participation in and discussion of state affairs, and the chairman of the CPPCC is responsible for organizing and leading the daily work of the CPPCC. However, "cleaning up the illegal occupation of state-owned houses" is obviously an administrative activity and does not fall within the scope of the CPPCC chairman's duties.
