The remaining part of the corn silk is relatively clean, and its moisture is also relatively sufficient, and it is particularly tender, just look at the color. We put it in a bowl, add two big spoonfuls of salt, and then add the Yangtze water.
Gently press the corn whiskers into the water with your hands, and turn them while pressing, so that the salt can be better and faster dissolved in the water, forming a higher concentration of salt water, and the corn whiskers inside are much cleaner than the old corn whiskers we cut just now, but it is inevitable that there will be some insects or insect eggs hidden in it, so don't be careless in washing.
After stirring well, we will soak the corn silk in water for 2 minutes, and the soaking time should not be too long, which will easily lead to the loss of nutrients in the corn silk.
After 2 minutes, now we grab the corn silk with our hands and wash it clean in this way of shaking from side to side, and in the process of shaking, the water will have an impact on the surface of our corn silk, and this impact will knock down the dirt on the surface of the corn silk.
Washing corn silk is different from washing other ingredients, because corn silk is thin and long, and it is very messy, if you wash it one by one, and rub it carefully, it will break the corn silk, and it is not easy to wash. Therefore, it is the best way to wash the corn silk by shaking it back and forth directly by hand, and it can also wash the corn silk very cleanly.
I changed the water 3 times during the whole process, and the washed corn silk water became clear and free of any impurities, which means that our corn silk has been completely cleaned.
Then we put it in a leaky basket, try not to let it clump together, we tear it up a little bit with our hands, tear it apart a little, and then put it on the balcony of the house to dry it, taking advantage of the weather today, if nothing else, it can be dried in an hour.
You can see that the color of the sun-dried corn silk is darker than just now, but it is already very crisp when you touch it with your hands, indicating that the moisture inside has been completely dried, and our corn silk is ready to dry like this.
Dried corn silk now we put it aside for later use, this time and then prepare a sealed jar after eating canned fruit, if you prepare more corn whiskers, we can prepare a big sealed jar, this sealed jar must be guaranteed to be clean, waterless and oil-free state, and it's best to use boiling water or high liquor after sterilization before use, and then we put the dried corn whiskers into the sealed jar.
Don't use too much force when loading the corn stalks, as it will easily break the corn stalks, so let's move a little lightly. In a few moments, a large jar of corn silk was filled. Then cover it, seal it and store it, put it in a cool and ventilated place, you can use it for a whole year, take it whenever you want, and it is also very convenient.
I remember when I was a child, my grandmother used a plastic bag with vegetables in the house to keep the corn whiskers, because there were no such cans or sealed bottles at that time, and when we wanted to use them, we would unscrew the lid.
Take out the corn silk in the jade table with your hands, and after putting it in the cup, you must remember to close the lid of the sealed jar tightly, so that our corn silk will not regain moisture and deteriorate.
