This community canteen is part of the first community elderly care service complex in Science City. Aunt Xie, who lives in Huxi Garden Community, Huxi Street, said that because of the proximity, every time she wants to eat steamed buns, she makes an appointment to place an order on the official account of the "Zengjia Town Elderly Care Service Center Canteen", and the staff will soon send it to the community elderly care service station where she is located, and sometimes it will be sent to the building.
Initiative: To build a "community pension service complex" at the doorstep of residents
Zhu Xianwen, 72, who lives in Shuxiangxi Villa, has been a regular at the community canteen since it opened. "It's a ten-minute walk, upstairs and downstairs to eat, the arrangement is very reasonable."
The "14th Five-Year Plan" and the outline of the long-term goals for 2035 emphasize the need to integrate and utilize existing resources to develop community-based elderly care. In April this year, the general secretary also pointed out during his investigation in Chongqing that he hoped that party committees and governments at all levels could invest more financial and material resources to solve people's livelihood problems, do some practical things for people's livelihood every year, and continuously enhance the people's sense of gain, happiness and security.
"Previously, we collected the opinions of community residents, and everyone hoped that the elderly could achieve high-quality retirement without leaving the community." The relevant person in charge of Longqiao community told reporters that in order to meet the needs of residents in the jurisdiction, at the end of last year, professional pension service institutions were recruited from the society and the community houses were rented out at a lower price than the market price, which not only revitalized the idle resources of the community and allowed residents to have a place to go, but also truly realized the embedded pension in the community.
