According to reports, the cooperation period between the IOC and the Saudi Arabia Olympic Committee is 12 years. After the proposal is approved, the two sides will immediately proceed to select the host city and venue for the event, and confirm the details of the competition time, events and player qualification procedures.
The IOC said it will give priority to working with international sports organizations that already have esports competitions, and will also give priority to inviting national (regional) Olympic committees that have accepted esports. In addition, due to the special nature of the esports Olympics, the IOC will have to take a different approach to the financing and preparation of the event, and the IOC will establish a new specialized body, clearly separate from the traditional Olympic preparation and finance model.
