"Do not go to the river, pond, etc., alone or in a group...... At the opening ceremony, Shi Xingzhen, the captain of the Foshan Eagle Volunteer Rescue Team, combined his rescue experience to teach a drowning prevention class to the campers. "I'm looking forward to the next trip, especially being able to make my own wine for my family to taste, meet a lot of new friends, and learn about the history and culture of Foshan while visiting different attractions, which I find very interesting." Little camper Yu Yan said.

A total of 200 children participated in this research activity from single-parent mothers' families, children from families with subsistence allowances or borderline subsistence allowances, and migrant children. This summer camp will make full use of the city's resources and lead children into the Guangzhou-Foshan child-friendly base, child-friendly spaces and child-friendly industries in five phases, so as to guide children to fully participate, think deeply and actively express themselves in the activities, so as to cultivate their feelings for the family and country and increase their knowledge and talents.

The organizers said that the original intention of holding this event is to benefit the children of disadvantaged families in our city, enrich their holiday life, let them learn and experience knowledge beyond the school in the process of playing, and at the same time promote the construction of Foshan as a child-friendly city. Next, the fourth phase of the "Public Welfare Book Packet" activity will be launched, and free book scent bags containing book resources and learning supplies will be distributed to children in Foshan City.

In addition, the event invited "caring mothers" who are paired with children in need to participate in this activity, and they will accompany the paired children to spend a loving and warm holiday through caring visits and participating in cultural and sports activities such as reading experiences, handicraft workshops, and holiday classes. This is also the first time that the Foshan Women's Federation has carried out the "Caring Mother" pairing care for children in distress action this year, and so far 1,152 "caring mothers" and 1,506 left-behind children in distress have completed "one-to-one" and "one-to-many" pairing care and assistance.

"As a caring mother, I hope that I can set an example for my children and teach them to pass on their love and warmth to others." Caring mother Sun Yunyi said. Today, she also took her children to participate in this summer camp, hoping to cultivate the quality of caring for society through this activity.

It is reported that the "Sharing the Blue Sky · Happy Growth" public welfare summer camp for children in distress is led by the Municipal Women's Federation, jointly organized by the Municipal Working Committee for Women and Children, the Office of the Municipal Leading Group for Promoting the Construction of a Child-Friendly City, and the Municipal Children's Welfare Association, co-organized by the Women's Federation of the Five Districts, sponsored by Guangdong Shiwan Winery Group Co., Ltd., and undertaken by the Municipal Children's Activity Center. Since 2013, the event has been successfully held 26 times, benefiting more than 1,150 people including children in need.

The event has always been centered on multiple themes, focusing on the combination of practice and experience. Through the planning of children's quality training courses, covering safety education, career experience, mental health and other aspects; At the same time, the activity also carried out patriotic education and red education activities to deepen children's feelings for their home and country. In addition, the event also set up local intangible cultural heritage items such as Foshan paper-cutting, martial arts, and lion head tie-making, so that children can experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage.

In the course of the activities, we have continuously expanded the scope of services and strengthened the joint efforts to care for children, including carrying out safety education for girls, serving various key groups, and paying attention to the needs of migrant left-behind children. Taking advantage of Foshan's advantages in building a child-friendly city, we will integrate resources from all parties, such as inviting the Municipal Red Cross Society and the Foshan Eagle Volunteer Rescue Team to carry out summer drowning prevention safety education and training classes, so as to jointly create a public welfare "circle of friends" that cares for children.
