The six models with the lowest carbon footprint were recognized at the event, and the winners were selected from more than 6,600 models included in the China Automotive Industry Chain Carbon Disclosure Platform (CPP). Among them, Dongfeng Nano 01, the "Great Beauty Intelligent National Car", ranked No.1 among the A0 pure electric sedans with the lowest carbon emission performance in its class and 17.2% lower than the industry average, and won the 2024 China Automobile "Low-carbon Leader Model" award.

The selection of "low-carbon leader models" is the only project in China for the evaluation of the carbon footprint of models, mainly selecting the models with the lowest carbon footprint in the same class, which is operated by the Energy Conservation and Green Development Evaluation Center of the Automobile Industry (a third-party evaluation qualification awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), and has a very high gold content. The selection is based on the carbon footprint data of more than 6,600 models in the world's first carbon footprint information disclosure platform for the entire automotive industry chain - China Automotive Industry Chain Carbon Disclosure Platform (CPP), and Nano 01 can stand out from the crowd, demonstrating its overall leadership in the field of green and low-carbon.

According to the data, the carbon footprint of Nano 01 vehicle is 119.55gCO2e/km (product carbon footprint per unit mileage is 119.55g), which is 17.2% lower than the industry average; The carbon emissions of parts and materials are 29.84gCO2e/km, the carbon emissions of power batteries are 13.21gCO2e/km, the carbon emissions of vehicle production are 1.51gCO2e/km, the carbon emissions of maintenance are 7.68gCO2e/km, and the carbon emissions of fuel production are 67.31gCO2e/km (the carbon emissions of fuel use are 0), whether it is the carbon footprint of the whole vehicle, or the carbon emissions of component materials, power batteries, vehicle production, maintenance, and fuel production, which are lower than the industry average. Nano 01 ranks No.1 in the A0 class pure electric car with an absolute leading advantage, and is a veritable "low-carbon leader model".

In terms of building a low-carbon supply chain, Nano 01 strictly controls and intervenes from the early stage of product design, and considers low-carbon design in the materials, process selection and structural design of all models: priority is given to recycled materials, bio-based materials and other recycled materials, and thermosetting plastics, paint adhesive materials, inseparable polymer composite materials and other materials that are difficult to recycle or cannot be recycled; Through the design and transformation of low-carbon processes in the whole value chain of products, on the one hand, the utilization rate of typical materials, especially steel materials and aluminum alloy materials, is improved, and on the other hand, energy consumption and carbon emissions are reduced. The product structure design adopts the method of easy disassembly, convenient reuse and recycling to ensure that it is recyclable, low-carbon and environmentally friendly from the source. At the same time, strengthen supply chain management, implement the supply chain carbon reduction action plan, focus on the hierarchical management of suppliers of key components and materials (power batteries, steel, aluminum alloys, plastics, tires, air conditioning refrigerants, etc.), and give priority to suppliers with carbon emission management systems and low-carbon competitive advantages.

In terms of creating low-carbon products, Nano 01 has also achieved green and low-carbon. Nano 01 was born from the No. 3 platform of Dongfeng Quantum Architecture, which adopts the design of lightweight body materials and structure, low friction of chassis walking system and efficient drive train, and has the characteristics of high cost performance, wide expansion and low energy consumption. At the same time, the Nano 01 vehicle is equipped with a Mach E 10-in-1 electric drive assembly with a high energy efficiency percentage of 91.9% and the authoritative certification of "Energy Efficiency Star", which adopts key technologies such as high-efficiency control algorithms, high-efficiency electromagnetic solutions, low-drag structure and low-viscosity oil, and flat wire motor design. Combined with more than 20 wind resistance optimization measures for the whole vehicle, as well as the development of the ultimate vehicle energy management and control strategy, the power consumption per 100 kilometers is only 10.6kWh, and the cost per kilometer is as low as 5 cents, which can provide users with a more economical, efficient and low-carbon car experience.

In terms of low-carbon production, Nano 01 is manufactured by Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Manufacturing Headquarters Xiangyang Factory, which deeply integrates digital and intelligent technologies and strives to create a new benchmark for green and intelligent factories. The factory vigorously promotes the use of green electricity, of which photovoltaic factories account for more than 30% of the power generation, with a total installed capacity of 14MW (megawatts) and an annual power generation capacity of about 13.1 million kWh, reducing 6,887 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and other green power by about 10%; Through the use of advanced technologies such as coiled steel plates, automatic welding, automatic spraying, and modular assembly, the factory has further improved the automation level and production efficiency of the vehicle production line, and realized the improvement of energy efficiency. In addition, actively promote low-carbon production technology, add waste heat recovery devices to 4 drying furnaces in the coating workshop, and the drying equipment in the coating process accounts for more than 40% of the total energy-consuming equipment; Adding a waste heat recovery system to recycle 200°C hot smoke can reduce the cost by about 480 yuan per hour, effectively reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

As the first model of Dongfeng Nano, Nano 01 has achieved green and low-carbon in the whole life cycle from design and development, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and transportation, sales and use, and recycling.
