In addition, Typhoon "Gemei" made landfall in Fujian yesterday evening and will continue to move westward and northward in the future, affecting Jilin Province on the 28th and 30th.
1. Weather conditions
Affected by the shear at the rear of the subtropical high, moderate to heavy rain occurred in the west and southeast of Jilin Province from the day on the 25th, and heavy rain or heavy rain occurred in some places. As of 07:00 on the 26th, the average precipitation in the province was 23.8 mm, and the regional distribution was: 43.9 mm in Liaoyuan, 33 mm in Jilin, 28.5 mm in Tonghua, 23.3 mm in Yanbian, 22.8 mm in Siping, 21.9 mm in Baicheng, 18.1 mm in Changchun, 18.0 mm in Songyuan, 16.5 mm in Baishan, and 15.1 mm in Changbaishan Reserve (see attached map). There were 2 stations of heavy rain, 118 stations of heavy rain, 423 stations of heavy rain, 701 stations of moderate rain, and 228 stations of light rain. The top 10 precipitation levels were 114.2 mm in Hulitu in Taonan, 106.0 mm in Pinggang in Dongliao, 99.7 mm in Qianguo Wulan Aodu, 97.3 mm in Jiaohe Yanhu, 97.2 mm in Tongyu Bianzhao, 95.9 mm in Dongsheng in Taonan, 92.2 mm in Wanbao in Taonan, 92.0 mm in Heiding in Taonan, 91.7 mm in Dongxing Forest Farm in Huadian, and 90.0 mm in Nanbeitaiping. During this period, there were scattered strong convective weather in our province, mainly short-term heavy precipitation, with a total of 88 stations with short-term heavy precipitation with hourly rain stronger than or equal to 20 mm, and the maximum hourly rainfall intensity occurred in Shuangyang Qijia, reaching 44 mm.
2. Analysis of the latest developments and future impacts of Typhoon Gemei
This year's No. 3 typhoon "Gemei" made landfall for the second time in Xiuyu, Fujian Province at 19 o'clock on the 25th, and weakened from a typhoon to a severe tropical storm at 21 o'clock. At 05:00 on the 26th, its center was located in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, with a maximum wind force of 10 (28 m/s) and a minimum pressure of 977 hPa. It is expected to move west-northwards at a speed of about 20 km/h, and will move from Fujian to Jiangxi this evening into the night, and then continue northwards with a gradual weakening intensity. It may affect Jilin Province on the 28th-30th, and there will be heavy to heavy rain in most of the central and eastern parts of the country, accompanied by a southwest wind of about level 5.
3. Future weather forecast
It is expected that from day to night today, there will be heavy to heavy rain in eastern Changchun, eastern Siping, Liaoyuan, Jilin, Tonghua, western and northern Baishan, western Yanbian, and Changbai Mountain Conservation Area, and heavy rain in some places, accompanied by strong convective weather such as short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorms and strong winds, and moderate to heavy rain in eastern Songyuan, western Changchun, western Siping, southeastern Baishan, and eastern Yanbian, and light to moderate rain in other areas. From daytime to night tomorrow, there will be moderate to heavy rain in Liaoyuan, southern Jilin, Tonghua, Baishan, and Changbai Mountain Conservation Areas, heavy rain in some places, and light to moderate rain in other areas.

Blue Alert for Meteorological Risks of Flood Disasters:
At present, the southern part of Baicheng, the eastern part of Siping, and most of Jilin have heavy rainfall, and the rainfall will continue in the future, and flood disasters such as river floods and farmland flooding may occur. It is recommended that relevant units or departments closely monitor the occurrence and development of rainfall and flood disasters, strengthen prevention in key areas, and activate contingency plans in a timely manner to ensure the safety of personnel.
