Scorchlands is a 3D resource management exploration game developed by Ringlab. Players will turn barren surfaces into meadows, forests, lakes, and vibrant settlements. Use magic and technology to change procedurally generated biomes on the map and develop new environments to gain access to their unique resources. Wasteland is now available on PC (Steam, GoG, and Epic Games Store) on July 26th, and Steam has received particularly good reviews.
About Barren Land
Who says magic and science can't go hand in hand? The Jiyi family is home to a group of curious explorers and inventors – isn't the best way to satisfy scientists' curiosity by exploring the moon?
Obsidian is blessed with abundant resources on this volcano-ridden moon, which is why daring explorers not only discover new magical technologies, but also harvest wealth and establish colonies. Great discoveries are not easy to come by – the surface of the moon is full of dangerous creatures, ready to fight to defend their habitat. Gilwing will have to perform magic to not only fend off all predators, but also to sustain their economy with arcane lasers, allowing them to handle resource logistics by connecting all colonies into one industrial network.
To uncover the mysteries of Obsidian, players must establish colonies on the surface of the moon to discover new technologies and magic to terraform the harsh environment and fight against local creatures.
In Scorchlands, you'll face a volcano-filled lunar-like alien planet that manages the production of its wonderful resources.
Main game features:
Hexagonal grid-based city building – build a variety of buildings in your colony. The productivity of each building depends on the surrounding resources and other buildings.
Challenging resource management – it's not just about extracting materials. Scorchlands also takes into account the logistical issue of moving resources between colonies and combining those resources into a robust processing chain. Yes, we use lasers to move resources.
Transform the Earth for the greater good of the future - use magic and technology to alter biomes on procedurally generated maps and use new environments to obtain unique resources.
Technicality adds to the fun – what fun an empty sandbox can be. The technology system in Scorchlands is the key to driving players forward, and each new discovery opens up new ways to play in the game world.
Minimalist combat system – Positioning will be key when you enter the battle. Destroy the enemy by encircling them and putting your troops in the best position.
