At the Guazhou County Cultural Center, a group of sixty or seventy-year-old people gather together every day to learn to sing an ancient art - Guazhou folk songs. In recent years, Guazhou County has established a rich archive of intangible cultural heritage resources of Guazhou folk songs by organizing Guazhou folk song inheritors to carry out exhibitions, publicity, filming, training and other protection and inheritance activities in an orderly manner.
"At the beginning, there were five or six students, and now we have grown to almost 30 people." Yan Shunhai, the county-level inheritor of Guazhou folk songs, said.
"The county cultural center gave us great support, provided the venue, equipped all the musical instruments, and bought and equipped clothes for us. Although I am old, I am not small in my determination, and I want to bring out all of us inheritors one by one, so that I can teach some young people in the future and pass on the folk songs of Guazhou.
