On August 4, according to foreign media gsmarena reports, Samsung Electronics launched a series of new products in its Unpacked event last month, including Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro. However, the design of these products has been criticized for being very similar to Apple's Watch Ultra, AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro 2, which has sparked widespread controversy.

According to Korea media reports, Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong expressed strong dissatisfaction with this and took action against TM Roh, head of the mobile division. Lee Jae-yong reportedly stepped in personally after the controversy, asking the mobile department to change future plans to avoid a similar incident from happening again.
The incident created tension within the company, and Mr. Lee is often portrayed as mild-tempered and unprovoked. However, this time things are different due to media reports about the similarities between Samsung's new products and Apple's products.

Samsung's Galaxy Watch series has previously been known for its unique round design, but the rounded look of the new Watch Ultra clearly overlaps Apple's design. In addition, the Buds3 is Samsung's first earbuds with a pole design, which was originally introduced by Apple and has been adopted by several companies.
More worryingly, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro also experienced quality control issues, with users reporting that silicone earbuds were prone to tearing when removed.
