On July 6, the Chinese Swimming Association announced the Olympic roster of the Chinese swimming team, and 30 athletes participated in 34 sub-events in the swimming events of the Tokyo Olympic Games. Among them, Shandong's Xin Xin, Yang Junxuan, Cheng Long and Ji Xinjie were selected. Ye Shiwen, Liu Xiang, and Fu Yuanhui collectively failed.
The four Shandong athletes selected are all very young players, but they have a lot of experience in the competition. Xin Xin, born in 1996, has participated in the Chinese team many times, and won the first place in the women's 10 km open water at the 2019 World Swimming Championships; yang Junxuan, a young player after 00, won the women's 200-meter freestyle final at the 2021 National Swimming Championships and Tokyo Olympic Trials, and broke the Asian record and won the women's 100-meter freestyle final; Ji Xinjie is also the "old face" of the Chinese swimming team, and he has also been selected for the Chinese swimming team many times.
