The purpose of this event is to explore the "Huangpu practice" to promote the social governance system and Chinese-style modernization, and to provide more replicable and promotable "Huangpu samples" of social governance. About 40 people from relevant leaders, experts and scholars from provincial and municipal social work departments, and representatives of some towns and streets attended the event.
At the event, the Social Work Department of the Guangzhou Huangpu District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Guangzhou Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Research Institute jointly signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement.
After the signing ceremony, relevant leaders and experts unveiled the plaque of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Social Development Observation Center. According to reports, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Social Development Observation Center will take Huangpu as a sample, based on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, to conduct on-the-spot observation and research on social governance and social operation, find common problems in the social development of the Greater Bay Area, put forward targeted opinions and suggestions, and provide effective measures for the first trial.
Subsequently, the first expert exchange meeting on social governance system and Chinese modernization was held. At the meeting, Zheng Yongnian, Chairman of the Guangzhou Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Research Institute and Dean of the School of Public Policy of the University of Hong Kong Chinese (Shenzhen), delivered a keynote speech on the latest observations and reflections on Chinese society.
Social governance is complicated, and every possible way is there to solve problems. In recent years, the masses have increasingly extensive needs for a better life, not only putting forward higher requirements for material and cultural life, but also increasing requirements for democracy, rule of law, fairness, justice, security, environment, etc., paying more attention to the right to know, the right to participate, the right to express and the right to supervise, and a strong willingness to participate in social governance.
The gold content of social governance should ultimately be measured by the people's sense of gain and happiness. Deng Yizhong, deputy secretary of the district party committee, said in his speech at the event, "To innovate social governance, we must focus on the grassroots, lay the foundation, listen to the different voices and demands of the people, and continue to promote and realize social work." According to reports, in order to answer the "examination question" of social governance, Huangpu District has played a "combination punch". In addition to the ongoing recruitment of social construction observers in Huangpu District from all walks of life, it is also planned to link all parties to build a "Citizen College" in the next step, and make every effort to build a "Bay Area Volunteer Training Base and International Volunteer Exchange Camp" to jointly help the innovative development of social governance in Huangpu District, promote source governance, promote co-construction, co-governance and sharing, and continuously meet the people's yearning for a better life.
