In order to effectively prevent and resolve the risk of drowning in rivers and lakes during the summer flood season and ensure the safety of people's lives and property, drowning prevention has become an important task at present. The Haidian District Water Affairs Bureau actively responded to the call of the Propaganda Department of the Haidian District Committee of the Communist Party of China and organized the "Seven Advances" activity to prevent drowning.
On July 19, the District Water Affairs Bureau participated in the first theme activity in Liulin Village, Sujiatuo Town, and more than 100 residents from Sujiatuo Town participated in the activity. The District Water Affairs Bureau conveyed the knowledge of drowning prevention to the people on the scene through drowning prevention posters and folding, and distributed themed content bracelets, card holders, environmental protection bags, fans and other publicity materials on the spot, so that the drowning prevention safety concept can be seen and learned at any time in the daily life of the masses.
On July 24, the District Water Affairs Bureau, the District Agricultural Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade, the District People's Procuratorate, and the Beijing Qinghe Management Office jointly held a theme publicity activity in the "Qinghe Island" waterfront green corridor. At the event site, the Haidian District Water Affairs Bureau set up a drowning prevention publicity area, and presented the drowning prevention knowledge in a way closer to the people's lives through various forms of publicity.
On August 1st and August 2nd, the Haidian District Water Affairs Bureau actively participated in the "Self-rescue and Risk Avoidance Ability Improvement" activity carried out by the New Era Civilization Practice Institute of Sijiqing Town and the Caochang Village Committee of Sujiatuo Town, respectively, and set up a special publicity booth of "Drowning Prevention and Cherishing Life" to convey drowning prevention knowledge to the public. At the scene, exquisite souvenirs such as themed card holders and environmental protection bags were also distributed to the public, and each person had a "drowning prevention warning that can be carried around".
On August 7, the Haidian District Water Affairs Bureau will promote the in-depth development of the "Seven Advances" campaign to prevent drowning at the Shangzhuang Town Civic Activity Center, and plans to hold three more activities to cover a wider audience.
The relevant person in charge of the Haidian District Water Affairs Bureau said that it will further strengthen communication and coordination with relevant units and departments, form a joint work force, continue to carry out various forms of publicity activities, guide the public to participate together, let the knowledge of drowning prevention be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and jointly build a safety barrier against drowning.
