On August 5th, the reporter saw at the Wenxiang Road site of Dingdong that the first batch of pike crabs had arrived the day before, and they were placed in different areas according to their size. "Affected by the high temperature weather this year, the size of the pike crab is larger, and the weight is basically between 150-200 grams, and some can even reach about 300 grams." Yang Weilong, the stationmaster of the site, introduced.

To eat pike crabs, you have to catch up with "fresh". The crab is delicious and firm, and both the crab paste and crab roe are very plump. Judging from the sales of the site in the past two days, hundreds of orders can be sold every day. Yang Weilong said that it is expected that in another week, the price will be reduced by one or two percent compared with the same period last year, "this year, the sales of pike crabs at our site should usher in a peak in early August, and it is expected to increase by more than 30% year-on-year."

In order to ensure that diners can eat the freshest pike crabs, in addition to the two major production areas of Dayang Port and Zhoushan in previous years, this year, Dingdong has also added three direct mining bases in Cangnan, Wenzhou, Dongying, Shandong, and Zhanjiang, Guangdong, which shorten the link distance, greatly improve the efficiency of the supply chain, and ensure the freshness of the pike crab.

It is worth mentioning that with the opening of fishing in the East China Sea, more and more special small seafood from Taizhou, Ningbo, Zhoushan and other places will be listed one after another, enriching the dining table of citizens.
