Whether walking in the streets of Paris or entering the Olympic Games, Wu Zhuqiong can feel Chinese romance everywhere. Wu Zhuqiong, a "post-00" France student, is a Hunan girl from Hunan who became one of the 45,000 volunteers for the Paris Olympics last year.

Looking back on her volunteer experience during this period, Wu Zhuqiong was deeply moved by the tenacity of the athletes and the enthusiasm of the audience. On August 7, a reporter from Sanxiang Metropolis Daily contacted Wu Zhuqiong, who had just finished volunteer work.

In France, the Chinese warmly welcome the "mother's family", and there is Chinese red everywhere

"Walking in the streets and alleys of Paris, there are 'Chinese red' everywhere." Ms. Wu said that in the months leading up to the Games, she noticed more and more Chinese flags and posters of Chinese athletes appearing in Parisian malls, streets and even alleys. "From afar, it forms a sea of red."

Wu Zhuqiong was pleasantly surprised by such a scene, and after inquiry, she learned that most of the national flags and posters were made and posted by local Chinese at their own expense, just to welcome the arrival of the "mother's family".

Wu Zhuqiong's friend Fan Tianfei, who is also a volunteer, also experienced Chinese romance in Paris.

"It has almost become a trend to buy and use Chinese products, especially Chinese food." During the Olympic Games, many Chinese companies have pop-up stores in Paris, and Fan Tianfei can often see tourists from all over the world discussing new products from China in front of some Chinese companies' pop-up stores. "In front of many well-known domestic tea shops, there are often long queues."

Although he has worked in France for many years, Fan Tianfei still can't forget the taste of China in his memory. Unwittingly, Fan Tianfei became a Chinese food promoter and shared Chinese pancake fruit with a volunteer from Chile. In his view, these scenes mean that Chinese culture is going to the world, and they are also the "opening ceremony" of the Chinese trend before the Paris Olympics.

Witness the history of Chinese tennis and applaud "good" for athletes and spectators

After the training, Wu was assigned to the tennis court for 12 days of volunteer work.

"I didn't expect me to be so lucky to be able to witness the two historical achievements of Chinese tennis." Wu Zhuqiong said excitedly.

On August 3, Beijing time, Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen won the silver medal in tennis mixed doubles; A few hours later, the 21-year-old Zheng Qinwen won the final with a score of 2-0 and won the first Olympic women's singles gold medal in the history of Chinese tennis.

"One chance makes three people successful." After the game, the legendary stories of Zheng Qinwen, Wang Xinyu, and Zhang Zhizhen are still being hotly discussed. But Wu Zhuqiong knows that the efforts behind the athletes are not so understated.

From the preliminary round to the finals, Wu Zhuqiong witnessed the whole process of the three athletes fighting.

"Whether they win or lose, they give each other a high five." Wu Zhuqiong recalled that in Wang Xinyu and Zhang Zhizhen, she could see a peaceful mentality that was far better than that of athletes from other countries, "This is also the reason why the two are becoming more and more tacit." ”

Wu Zhuqiong noticed that one of the words Zhang Zhizhen said most often on the court was "good", which was Zhang Zhizhen's prompt to Wang Xinyu before and after standing, serving and other actions. She and the audience can feel that this "good" has more meanings, not only to be ready, but also to encourage "you are good" and "well done", and it is also a kind of comfort that "I have always been by your side, and the next will be better".

At the final scene, the five-star red flags were held high by the Chinese audience, everyone cheered and shouted together when they should cheer up, and gave the athletes enough time to rest when they should be quiet, enthusiastic and measured, just right. There are also spectators from Beijing who wear red jerseys prepared in advance, just to create a 'home atmosphere' and cheer for the athletes. Wu Zhuqiong said, "I also want to give this 'good' to the Chinese audience at the scene." ”

"I feel very happy and proud"

At the end of the 12 days of volunteer work, looking back on the experience during this time, Wu Zhuqiong could not calm down for a long time, "I feel very happy and proud to see the motherland show its new era to the world." ”

As an authentic Hunan hot girl, Wu Zhuqiong also has the temperament of Hunan people who are domineering in their bones. Whether it is the preliminary training of volunteers, or daily work, even if it is some heavy physical work, Wu Zhuqiong requires herself not to do worse than others. "I'm speaking Chinese and Hunanese, so I have to try to do everything well."

In the venue, Wu Zhuqiong is mainly responsible for guiding the audience, providing game information, and maintaining on-site order. She needs to be enthusiastic and professional in front of audiences from all over the world, and she can sometimes feel tired from working for many days on end. Whenever this happens, she will think of Zheng Qinwen on the field, "Like she fought hard for three hours, there are no difficulties, one ball at a time, nothing can be done." ”

While studying in France, Wu Zhuqiong also took the initiative to become a "Hunan cuisine promotion ambassador". She often cooks Hunan cuisine and shares it with classmates from all over the world. "If you eat Hunan spicy, you can be considered a Hunan person." Under her "Amway", many foreign friends fell in love with Hunan cuisine and Hunan spicy.

"As a Hunan native, you can't live a day without chili peppers. During my time as a volunteer, I often have a few bottles of hot sauce in my bag. The spicy sauce with Western food also has a 'Hunan flavor'. Wu Zhuqiong quipped.
