On September 9, Geely Holding Group released the latest sales data: the total sales volume in August was 271926, a year-on-year increase of 14.9%; The sales volume of new energy vehicles was 127133, a year-on-year increase of 51.7%, and the penetration rate of new energy was 46.8%.
From January to August this year, Geely Holding Group sold a total of 2011392 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 21.6%; The cumulative sales volume of new energy vehicles was 823654, a year-on-year increase of 48.5%; The cumulative international sales volume was 796111 units, a year-on-year increase of 24.3%.
In terms of specific sub-sector performance, Geely Automobile Group's total sales volume was 181229 units, a year-on-year increase of more than 21%. The sales volume of new energy vehicles was 75,484 units, a year-on-year increase of about 65%. Overseas export sales were 45,045 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 98%. Geely Automobile Group sold 1287741 vehicles from January to August, a year-on-year increase of 34%.
Volvo Cars sold 52,944 vehicles worldwide, a year-on-year increase of 3%. The sales volume of new energy vehicles was 25,028 units, a year-on-year increase of 47%. The sales volume in the Chinese market was 12,185 units. From January to August, the cumulative global sales volume was 498464 units, a year-on-year increase of 11%.
Proton sold 12,690 vehicles and had a 19% market share in Malaysia. The cumulative sales from January to August were 101489 units.
