In Jinshan, there is such a village, since the 50s of the 20th century, more than 150 people in the village have successively embarked on the post of teachers, they use love and perseverance, with morality, learning and craftsman spirit, interpret the profound meaning of "people's teacher", and support the youth memory of generation after generation. This village is Hutang Village, located in Caojing Town.
On the occasion of the 40th Teacher's Day, Zhang Bozhong, the old principal of Caojing Primary School, once again came to Caojing Primary School, where he has been teaching for more than 20 years. In August 1969, Zhang Bozhong, who originally worked in the poor middle peasant management school, was transferred to the then Hutang Village Primary School (School) and officially became a people's teacher, lighting a beacon of hope for rural children. "At that time, there was only one duplex class, that is, the first, second and third grades were taught together, and there were more than 30 people in total. At that time, I was teaching on a small blackboard, a small alarm clock, a dustpan, three brooms, and a few pieces of chalk. Zhang Bozhong recalled.
Attend classes during the day, manage classes, prepare classes at night, and mark homework. In the 48 years of coaching, Zhang Bozhong has been conscientious, abiding by the style and ethics of teaching, and dedicating all his efforts. In order to make the school have a distinctive brand, under his leadership, the school began to build calligraphy education into a characteristic course in the 90s of the 20th century. In 1994, Caojing Primary School participated in the Shanghai Primary and Secondary School Students' Poetry Writing Competition, and won the first place in the group and the first place in the individual. "That competition inspired our confidence, and we began to pay attention to the students' writing education, which eventually became the school's distinctive brand." Zhang Bozhong said.
Nowadays, Caojing Primary School has won the honorary titles of National Calligraphy Education Experimental School, National Standard Chinese Character Writing Education Characteristic School, and Shanghai Advanced Collective of Calligraphy and Writing Education.
The concept of dedication to teaching also influenced Qin Yan, an excellent teacher who went out from Hutang Village. In 1994, Qin Yan, who had just graduated from university, returned to Jinshan to teach with enthusiasm. Over the past 30 years, she has been sticking to the front line of education and teaching, dedicating herself to research, and growing into a "subject leader" with rich teaching experience.
Qin Yan is now a teacher at Mengshan Middle School, and when she talked about why she became a teacher, she said frankly: "I was infected by the teachers around me, and I saw that many teachers were selfless and dedicated, and I hope to make a contribution." ”
Being friends with students is Qin Yan's teaching philosophy, and this excellent class teacher, who smiles when she mentions students, is more like a parent of a student. "The greatest joy and sense of accomplishment as a teacher comes from the recognition of students and parents, as well as the challenge of self. In the 30 years since I started teaching, I have always adhered to that original intention, which is to cultivate generations of students with sincerity, love and patience. Qin Yan said. Because of her outstanding work performance, Qin Yan has been rated as an outstanding class teacher in Jinshan District and an outstanding teacher in Shanghai, and her sister was also influenced by her and embarked on the road of teaching.
Because of the emphasis on education, Hutang Village has produced many talents, from calligraphy to photography, from Chinese painting to paper-cutting, singing, instrumental music, and dance. In 2018, he chose to return to his hometown to help build the Lotus Encounter Park, which has now become an Internet celebrity check-in point in Caojing Town.
According to preliminary statistics, since the 50s of the last century, more than 150 people in Hutang Village have taken up the post of teachers, in addition to Zhang Bozhong, who has been the "king of children" for 48 years, and Qin Yan, an excellent teacher, there are also education experts Li Shoumin, Lu Tingyu's family whose father and daughter are teachers, Wang Shengang, who has adhered to the post of secretary of the school's party branch for 22 years, Qi Jixing, a good secretary who combines rigidity and softness, and the "Nan Li" family with 14 people on the three-foot podium...... Some of them have taken root in their hometowns all their lives and silently contributed to the local education cause, and some of them have gone out of the pond protection pond to shine for the cause of education in Jinshan District, Shanghai and even all over the country.
Over the past few decades, nearly 300 children of rural families in Hutang Village have been admitted to various colleges and universities. In order to encourage the younger generation, since 2018, we have rewarded each student who has been admitted to a bachelor's degree or above according to the characteristics of the institution, and a total of 132 students have been admitted to a bachelor's degree or above in the past seven years. It is hoped that by rewarding these outstanding students, other children will be inspired, and I hope that they can contribute to the development of Caojing with this fine tradition. In June this year, Hutang Village also invited five cultural workers to create more than 60 works of calligraphy, photography, art, paper-cutting, etc., and compiled the album "Bright Stars" to inherit the fine tradition of respecting teachers.
